Roommates?

Disclosure: If you make a purchase through the links posted below, I may receive a small compensation. Read the full disclosure.

A few of the bloggers I read are headed to BlissDom in March and have been talking about how excited they are, what they are packing, who their roommates are going to be, etc.  And I started thinking, wait, what?  Roommates?  Sharing rooms?  Is that mandatory???  Because if it is, umm, looks like I will never ever be attending a conference.  Never ever.  Ever.

I don’t want to share a hotel room with someone.  No offense to anyone(*), but it’s sooooo not me.  I like (and need) my space.  And after spending an entire day in a room full of energetic and enthusiastic female bloggers or crafters or whatever kind of conference I was at, I am pretty sure I would need some down time.  And some wine.  And I want that bed and all those towels I don’t have to wash or pick up all to myself.  Now don’t get me wrong, B and I do share hotel rooms (LOL), but we are married and I don’t feel the need to be on my most social behavior when I am with him (in fact, he prefers that I am not)!

So I gotta know, what do you think about sharing hotel rooms with girlfriends?  Or even fellow bloggers you “know” but have never actually met?  I do see how that sounds fun and all, but it’s not my kind of fun.  At least not for more than one night anyways!  I think I could handle (and enjoy) one night.  But anything more than that and I need my own room.  Am I alone in this?  And have you ever been to a blogging conference?  Which one?  BlisDom?  BlogHer?  Something else?  Tell me everything!!

(*) Considering that no one has ever invited me to a blogging conference or anything of the sort, it’s safe to say that no one wants to share a room with me either!
