The February Love With Food theme is “Spicy and Sweet Valentine’s Day”. Love With Food describes it as “Like a matchmaker for your tastebuds, the recipe for romance calls for a bit of sugar and a dash of spice.”
Love With Food changed their packaging this month. Instead of shipping it in USPS Flat Rate Envelopes, it is now shipped in a clear plastic pouch. I thought it was cuter than the boring white envelope. And we all know, cuter is better.
I was super excited to see the information card in the box again this month! Last month there was a problem with the printer and they weren’t included.
I was also excited to see nine things listed on the card. I say it every time I get a Love With Food box, but man do they pack those things full! It’s got to be like a puzzle to get it all in there!
Here’s what was inside:
~Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffle Piglet / Milk Chocolate Caramel Truffle Piglet from Hagensborg Chocolates: I believe Love With Food previously included a truffle piglet in one of their boxes. And umm, it was good, so I am certain these will be delicious too.
~Naturally Flavored Cranberries from Funny Face: I am excited to let L try these. They look like they will be perfect for a muffin tin meal!
~Pico de Gallo Bean & Rice Chips from Beanfields: I wouldn’t mind falling in love with these gluten-free chips made from long grain rice, navy and pinto beans. They are a healthier option than normal tortilla chips and I am going to test then out with some guac tonight ;).
~Original Nuts from bobbysue’s nuts!: We have tried these before and B enjoyed them. I will make sure to pack these in his lunch because I certainly won’t eat them. (*)
~Tomato Basil Sipping Broth from Millie’s Savory Teas: Hmm. I am not sure if this is considered tea or soup. It’s described as a “first-of-its-kind sipping broth” and has a savory blend of spices infused with loose leaf green tea. I’ll try this. But I might not like it.
~Nektar Honey Crystals from Nektar Naturals: Okay, so I think that these are like the unmessy version of honey. Easy to take with you and use and not make a hot mess with. Can’t wait to try it!
~Chocolate Madeleine from Donsuemor: This cute little tea cake sounds fancy and looks delicious. It might just be the perfect treat. I can only hope L doesn’t see if before I get my hands on it.
~Jer’s Squares: What could possibly be wrong with a combination of “premium chocolate” and “all-natural Valencia peanut butter”. It doesn’t get much better than that does it?
I liked this box WAY more than last months! The variety of products was pretty good and I can’t really fight about a box with lots of chocolates now can I? And also, I love how they donate a meal to a child in need for every box sold.
Do you subscribe to Love With Food? What’d you think of this month’s box? And if you are interested in subscribing or want to learn more, click here. And I believe that the code: “JAN13FREE” still works to get your first month free.
(*) I like nuts more than tea. But I don’t like them like them or anything.
