Friday Fun!

My mom volunteered to watch the boys for a while today so I could get some errands done on my own. My boys aren’t bad shoppers and errand runners by any means (in fact, they are rather good company), but let’s face it, it’s easier and quicker not to take them.

I started at Target because I needed to pick up the Crazy Stupid Love DVD for my giveaway and, of course, I had to check out the dollar spot and clearance section too. Oh, and get a Starbucks. Those drink holders that attach to the cart? Genius. I happily scored a few goodies (mostly pjs) for 70% off. I also did a little scouting in the Valentine’s section and GASP, there isn’t much I am going to be looking out for when it’s clearance time. I don’t know if they ordered less this year or I already have everything or what?

Next up I ran to our local outdoor mall (which was a tad chilly since it was like 18 degrees out) And picked my the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (again for the giveaway), one for me and something for the next Favorite Things giveaway. Umm, Sephora on a weekday is AMAZING. Sephora is one place I avoid going with the kids (at least alone with the kids) because there is just too much temptation in that place. Listen, I am a grown-up and can barely handle it!

I also ran to GAP because I cannot resist their clearance racks and picked up a few things for the boys. It was an additional 25% off clearance prices, which is awesome. I picked up everything you see here for $20. Nice right? And umm, I cannot stop buying red and grey things for L. I don’t know what it is, but I love that combo for him.

I also ran to Kroger to use their Coinstar machine and OMG how fun! I never used one before (I know, I know) and thought it was so fun to “watch” the machine count my change. Does anyone else try and guess how much change they have before they turn it in at the bank or wherever? We always do and I am always SO off!  I happily left with an Amazon gift card code and a free Redbox rental, which I redeemed before I left the store. Umm, I’ve also never used a Redbox machine before either. Seriously.

Coinstar

And I ended my last few kidless hours with a trip to CVS in search of the new Nivea Lip Butters.  OMG, I cannot say enough good things about these.  They are fabulous.  Just fabulous.  They smell amazing and even better, they are CHEAP (like $3.99 each).  I think these might just be in my next favorite things giveaway too!  They have a plain flavor too, but I passed on that one.  Caramel one?  Or plain.  Hmm.  Not really a hard decision.

CVS Haul

And then I came home to same crazy house I had left.  And we spent the rest of the afternoon baking a rainbow cake (see my instagram feed) and paying cars.  It was a fun day for sure!  Thanks again mom for watching the boys!!
