March Citrus Lane

My March Citrus Lane box(es) came a little later than normal this month, but it’s been kinda box crazy over here this week, so that’s fine by me! I peeked at a few spoilers, so I kinda of new what to expect, but not really.

The Box

The March Citrus Lane boxes were smaller than normal this in month. In fact, my mailman was able to two fit Citrus Lane boxes, a GLOSSYBOX and a Dottiebox in my mailbox today. That was one packed mailbox!

First Look

While the box looked a little empty, I was also excited because it appeared to include a bunch of stuff I 1) didn’t have and 2) wasn’t familiar with. The best part of these monthly subscription boxes is totally discovering new products!

The Information Card

Citrus Lane has done away with their themes and instead includes a selection of products that best fits your baby’s age. This month Citrus Lane included items to help out with all of “baby’s new activities” including sitting, crawling, teething and eating.

Here’s what our box (for an 11 month old boy aka WB) included:

~Jungle Art Cards from Wee Gallery ($12.95): These cards are designed to draw in your baby’s attention with the black and white colors, while at the same time helping to learn their animals. I know that WB and L are going to LOVE these. L loves to be the teacher and show WB letters and numbers and enjoys “reading” to him, so I know that they will enjoy these!!! I might actually have to pick some of their other sets with the Wee Gallery coupon code!

~Green Ring Teether from Begin Again ($11): WB is going to go wild for this. He’s teething like crazy (still no first tooth yet though) and wants to gnaw on everything he can find. This teether is actually two parts and includes the outer plastic (corn-based BPA- and phthalate-free) ring and an inner ring made of maple. You can separate the outer plastic ring wash in the dishwasher and you’ve still got a great toy!

~Easy-to-Go Feeding Set from Green Sprouts ($1.50): At first I was like who would ever need a disposable spoon and bib set and then I realized, umm, yeah, I do. I forget bibs more often than I remember them. Luckily WB isn’t too messy, but still! I am throwing this in my diaper bag NOW and will probably use it by the time the weekend is over!

~Two Packets of Food + Recipe Card from NuturMe ($2.50): I gotta tell you, these have me a little scared. And fascinated. You take the packets and mix them into your baby’s meals to boost the nutritional value and get more veggies into your little one. Umm, guess which baby is getting this in his mac n cheese tomorrow night? I can’t wait to see what he thinks. If he likes it, I am ordering more ASAP.

~Calendula Weather Protection Cream from Weleda ($12): Why didn’t I know this existed? It helps to soothe dry skin and also shields against redness and irritation from the elements and drooling. WB’s been drooling like crazy and I am going to start putting this on him every night so his skin doesn’t get all raw and icky.

All totaled, our March Citrus Lane box had a value of $39.95. Not as “valuable” as some of the other months we have received, but I can honestly say I have not heard of any of these products before and I really look forward to trying them all! The box also included a $20 gift card to justfab.com, but I am not including that in my total since you have to spend money to use the code.

I also signed up to get L a box since Citrus Lane now has boxes for kids up to age 5. Here’s what we got in his box this month:

March Citrus Lane

~Constructibles Building Set from MudPuppy ($13.99)
~Jungle Animals Make-a_Mask from Mudpuppy ($11.99)
~Jumbo Beeswax Crayons from Faber-Castle ($4.99)
~Just Bananas from Just Tomatoes ($1.25)

All totaled, L’s box has a value of $32.22 (it also included the Justfab.com coupon), and I am totally saving this stuff for a rainy day for us to do!
