March Stork Stack
March Stork Stack

Our March Stork Stack arrived yesterday and I was excited to dig into it. I knew that the theme was “Colors and Shapes”, but other than that, I had no idea what to expect.

The Box

Unlike some of the other subscription boxes I get, Stork Stack boxes are always the same size.  And they remain one of the cutest boxes I get ;).

First Look

I’ll admit I wasn’t overly excited by the fist look.  It seemed empty that and that always makes me sad.  But then again, since they always use the same size boxes, it’s not really fair.  I mean, if the box were smaller, well it wouldn’t be so empty you know?

The Information Card

I am still SO excited that Stork Stack upgraded the size of their information cards.  They seriously used to be on like 3×5 cards.  Now they are like a 5×7.  And they are bright and colorful and I love them now.  They were boring black and white ones before.  This is way better.  Like I said before, the March Stork Stack theme is “Colors and Shapes” and the card promised you’d see a rainbow of colors inside.

~“Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle: I believe that this is the first time, in any subscription box that we have received, that we have actually already owned the book we got in a box.  It’s actually quite amazing it hasn’t happened sooner.  That said, we love this book and don’t mind having a spare at all.

~Weleda – Calendula Diaper Care ($13.50): I am guessing that this was included because it’s orange?  I’ve never tried anything from Weleda before, but I probably should.  They use only the “purest wild-crafted, organically and biodynamically cultivated ingredients”. I gotta tell you though, we never use diaper cream.  WB just doesn’t get diaper rash.  No idea why not?

~Manhattan Toy – Wimmer-Ferguson Soothing Silicone Teether($7): I opened this as soon as I opened the box (and took pictures of course) and handed it to WB.  He loved it.   I couldn’t even tell you if he admired the colorful circles on it because he went right to town gnawing on that thing.  Oh, and in addition to never having diaper rash, WB has no teeth.  And has been teething for about 7 months now.

~Simple Squares Coconut Organic Snack Bar ($2.49): I am going to try this, but I can’t promise I will like it.  I don’t love coconut, so I think that might make me not like this, but I’ll never know unless I try right?  They are free of wheat, gluten, diary, soy and refined sugars and are made with just 5 whole food ingredients.

~Wee Can Too – The Original Naturally Safe Finger Paint($7): I’ve always wanted to try this paint with WB and here’s my chance!  Unlike L when he was a baby, WB puts everything in his mouth.  And paint would be no exception.  This is made from organic fruit & vegetable powders, rice cereal and rice flour (the orange color = pumpkins), so it’s totally safe!

All totaled the March Stork Stack had a value of $37.98.  Clearly more than the $28/month cost and it’s also introduced me to a lot of products I have never tried before!

He loves it!
