March True Beauty Box
March True Beauty Box

I was lucky enough to receive a True Beauty Box in the mail this week and I was anxious to check it out. In case you don’t know, the True Beauty Box is a monthly subscription program containing 100% natural, full size, trendy and chic beauty products, plus samples and a monthly surprise!

The Outer Packaging

True Beauty Box comes in a plain old USPS flat rate envelope. If I had to guess, I’d describe the box similar to the size of a Glossybox.

The Box

OMG is this not one of the prettiest boxes you’ve ever seen?  I was VERY impressed when I opened the envelope and found this!  The colors, the ribbon, everything was perfect.  It pained me to have to open it and ruin the ribbon.  It was that pretty!

First Look

I really wasn’t sure what to expect when I opened the True Beauty Box, but I was blown away.  The products seemed to be great sizes and all appeared to be useable, which is key!

The Information Card

The information card doesn’t include details on all the products, rather it includes a selection of favorites from Lillie Magazine, who appears to have assisted in curating this month’s products.  There are three True Beauty Box options each month (Flirt – the best of all natural cosmetics, Veganista – the best of the vegan world and Indulge – relax and wind with a treat for yourself) and the products shown in the picture are what items were included in each of the boxes.  Variations are then based on your profile selection.

I received the “Flirt” box this month.  Here’s what was inside:

~Lavera Gentle Eye Makeup Remover ($19): I’ll admit it, I don’t use a special eye makeup remover, so when I saw this I was excited.  Lavera is designed to work on even the most sensitive of skin and holds itself to the highest standards of safety out there.  I am super excited to give this a try and perhaps help save the skin around my eyes!

Lavera Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

~True Natural Sweet Grapefruit Organic Soap Bar ($6.50): I don’t normally use bar soap, but I may need to make an exception for this.  It smells AMAZING.  And True Natural is made in the US from 100% natural and organic active ingredients. Yes please!

True Natural Sweet Grapefruit Organic Soap Bar

~Lavera Basis Lip Balm ($5.50): Could this be any more perfect?  It’s all natural lip balm that contains “organic jojoba and almond oils to soothe chapping, while organic waxes and shea butter protect against the elements”.  This sounds amazing.  I really need to get more into natural products and since lip balm is something I use ALL the time, this may be the place to start!

Lavera Basis Lip Balm

~Benecos Eyebrow-Designer ($9.99): I have not gotten my eye brows done in forever, so they don’t need to be any more full than they already are, but there have been a few brow accidents in my day that this would have come in handy for ;).  And I am certain there will be more.

Benecos Eyebrow-Designer

~Benecos Nail Polish ($11.99): It’s possible that this is what I am most excited about in the True Beauty Box.  This nail polish is “5FREE” meaning it’s free from Formaldehyde, Toluene, Camphor, Phthalates and Colophony.   No nasty chemicals and still fun colors to pick from?  It’s hard to go wrong.

~True Baby Sunscreen and True Self Tanner Samples:  Ohh, I am so ordering these two in full sizes.   I’ve been doing some reading about traditional baby sunscreens and yeah, that’s kinda scary.  This sounds like a great alternative!  Same for the self-tanner.  The sample is kind of small to really get an idea of how it will work all over, but I like what I see so far!

True Baby Sunscreen and True Self Tanner Samples

All totaled I came up with a value of $52.98 plus the value of the samples for the March Flirt True Beauty Box.  A pretty amazing deal considering that the “Flirt” box is only $30 (shipping is free)!  I think this box is a great way to try out some new natural beauty products without paying full price.  I feel like some people (I know I do), shy away from natural products because you just don’t know what you are going to get.  But these all look great and I am totally going to look more into these brands!

Do you subscribe to the True Beauty Box? What’d you think?  And if you don’t subscribe and want to get signed up or just learn more, click here.  What was your favorite product in this month’s box?
