The Box

Bespoke Post ships via USPS and arrived very quickly.  And of course, you know I love the orange box.   It really is a Box of Awesome ;).

First Look

There were a few different boxes to choose from this month, but we went with “Cue”.  I mean, B loves to barbecue, so it was an obvious choice.  You get to see exactly what is in the box before you commit, so the chances of you being disappointed are less than slim to none.  I was very impressed with the way Bespoke Post packaged everything.  It was so neat and organized and I always love that.

The Information Card

Bespoke Post doesn’t have a traditional information card just listing the products, rather it gives you some suggestions for using the products and some music ideas for your grilling party!

~Outdoor Gourmet Grilling Planks (Cedar, Hickory & Alder) ($7.50): I did not know this (I bet B did though), but the different grilling planks work best with certain types of foods.  Alder pairs with veggies and lighter fare, Cedar works all-around and Hickory has an intense flavor perfect for heavier meats.  I can only hope that the weather stays nice so we can test out each one as soon as possible!

~Tin Mustard ($7): I put mustard in the same category with tea (can’t stand it), but I may even give this a taste.  A small taste.    It’s known as “the caviar of mustard” and can be even be eaten with a spoon.  I’m sure that B will slide this into some amazing recipe and I won’t even realize it’s in there!

~TruBee Honey($9.33): Mmmm, honey!  Bespoke Post suggests adding this to your homemade bbq sauce or adding it to a summer cocktail.  Either one sounds good to me!  I kinda just want to eat a spoonful of it right now, but I will wait till B wants to open it ;).

~Sir Kensington’s Ketchup ($7): We received this in another box (Mantry) a while ago and loved it, so I it’s a welcome addition to this box.  This tastes totally different than your normal processed ketchup.  It’s kind of an adjustment actually.  But in a good way.

~Whole Spice Napa Valley(Chipotle & Honey Rub – $5.14, Chimichurri Dry Seasoning – $3.83 & Morocan Harissa Seasoning – $3.38): I opened the package to check these spice out and man, I gotta tell you, they can open up those sinuses!!!  I suspect they are going to be AMAZING and will certainly add a kick to whatever B makes on the grill this summer!

~Parameswaran’s Special Wynard Pepper($9.50): Bespoke Post suggests using this as an all around seasoning or as your go-to base.  I LOVE all things pepper, so I hope B tries this out first.  Is it just me or does anyone else want to have a bbq right now???

~Food Should Taste Good (Blue Corn & Jalapeno) ($2): I don’t know why, but I never think to use flavored chips with my beloved guac?  I’m trying it with these though and my mouth is already watering!

All totaled, I came up with a value of $54.68 for the ‘Cue Bespoke Post Box.  I think this is a perfect box to get you in the mood for some summer grilling and it couldn’t have come at a better time.  B is actually going to be home for dinner tonight and I am crossing my fingers that we can grill!

Well I was leaning towards Mantry, but having choices AND being able to skip a month if he doesn’t like the products is sounding good. thanks for the review!
