April Gourmet Spotting Box

Gourmet Spotting is a curated monthly subscription service for foodies! Members receive a curated box of 4 to 6 medium/full size delicious gourmet products, delivered to their front door each month.

The Box

Gourmet Spotting ships via USPS Priority Mail and my box arrived very quickly. I got an e-mail saying it shipped on Tuesday and it arrived Wednesday!  Way better than making me wait for a week for it to arrive!

Second First Look

Gourmet Spotting uses a lot of packing materials, which is fine by me because I know for a fact that nothing is going to break in this box!  I’d be shocked if I ever got a broken item!

The Information Sheet

The Gourmet Spotting information card is very detailed and includes tons of information about the individual products in the box.  This month, Gourmet Spotting selected items from some of the most inspirational companies they have come across.

~Goji Berry Cookies (New York) ($5.50): Goji berries are like the super food of super foods.  They are packed with antioxidants and have been used for years to treat common health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure, fever, etc.  Now I am not saying that eating these will cure all your ailments, but it certainly can’t hurt to give them a try now can it?  Cookies that are actually good for you?  I’ll eat these any day of the week ;).

~Yogic Chai’s Original Masala Chai (New York) ($4): So I think you all know how I feel about tea, so I won’t tell you again.  But B loves tea and will be taking this to work with him immediately.  The founder of this company realized there was a lack of amazing chai tea in the U.S. and started making his own blend.  And the product is so amazing that they have won 1st place 3 years running in the North American Tea Championship (who knew there was such a thing).  I don’t know much about tea, but chai tea is suppose to sustain energy levels & help reduce fatigue.  Maybe this explains why B has so much energy all the time?

~Askinosie Chocolate (Missouri) ($6):  Askinosie Chocolate sources 100% of their chocolate beans directly from farmers from all over the world.  There is no middle man!  Askinosie pays farmers more than Fair Trade prices AND they share 10% of the net profits from the chocolate that was made with beans from their farms with the farmers.  How awesome is that?  And yeah, I tried some.  Not only does the amazing have an amazing story, the chocolate is delicious.

~Romanico Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Spain) ($11.50): I love me some fancy olive oil and this certainly fits the bill.  I used to be scared when B would cook with oil (I was all, can’t you just you use that spray stuff instead), but now I love it!  It’s so good for you and makes your food taste 100x better!

All totaled the April Gourmet Spotting box has a value of $27 – not including any of the shipping costs of course, which would certainly add a pretty penny to the cost.  I had not previously heard of ANY of these products which is why I love subscription boxes so much – they introduce you to new products and companies out there.
