PopSugar Must Have Box
April PopSugar Must Have Box

My April PopSugar Must Have box arrived a day early (I was shocked) and I couldn’t wait to open it. There has been A LOT of talk about this box and I was interested in checking it out for myself.

The Box

PopSugar’s box looked a little different this month.  I’d compare it to a previous month, but it’s not really that noticeable.  The April box weighed only 1.2lbs, which had everyone guessing what was inside.  I was really hoping for a light-weight scarf, but it wasn’t to be.

First Look

I expected the box to be totally empty based on what everyone has been saying about it, so I was surprised to see that it was on the fuller side.

The Information Booklet

The April PopSugar Must Have box was all about embracing Spring.  They included things to get into the eco-spirit, get your arm party started, a classic scent and a surprising snack.  Here’s what it all was:

~Tatcha Evening Aburatorigami Fresh Evening Beauty Papers ($15):  I gotta tell you, I don’t know the difference between the blotting papers they sent back in August?  These are suppose to take away the shine without messing up your make-up or taking away your skin’s natural moisture.  I am pretty excited to test these out!  They are going right in my bag.

~KAI Fragrance Oil ($48): Okay, I have been racking my brain trying to figure out why I know about it this and it turns out, January’s Wantable.co box included a sample.  And I like it then and I like it now.  I actually plan on throwing this in my bag too (luckily I JUST cleaned it out this morning so it could use some restocking).  It’s not a scent I would pick out for myself, but it’s for sure a nice change of pace.

~Alter Ego Dark Quinoa Chocolate Bar ($3.99): I may be the only one who actually was happy to see this in the box!  I received it a Goodies Co. box a few months ago and really enjoyed it.  It’s kind of Nestle crunch like.  Kind of.

~Blue PopSugar Branded Green Garmento 4-in-1 Bag ($9.99): This was on the Shark Tank (one of my favorite shows), but no one invested!  Green Garmento is devoted to getting rid of single use plastic garment and grocery bags, which I totally support.  I am super guilty of contributing to the problem at the dry cleaners and I wonder if my dry cleaners would be down with using this?  It also converts into a duffle bag and a hanging hamper.  I’m totally taking this on my next vacation to store dirty clothes in.  Oh and I don’t know why I got a blue bag and everyone else seems to have gotten black, but I am fine with it.

~ShopShashi New Nugget Bracelet ($28): I am totally inviting this guy to my arm party ;).  I really like it and was very excited that I got the turquoise.  Cobalt and gray were the other color options.

According to my calculations, the total value of the April PopSugar Must Have Box is $104.98.  While I wasn’t as disappointed in this box as many other people were, I did feel like it was missing something.  I can’t out put in my finger on what, but maybe a nice candle or even a pedicure set to get those feet Spring ready would have turned this box around for a lot of people?
