Mana Lana Box
Mama Lana Box

Mama Lana delivers expertly curated monthly boxes, full of soulful and luxurious necessities for each month of pregnancy.  It is a work of love created by two sisters, Anna and Lauren.

The Box

Since Mama Lana is super new, I didn’t really know what to expect. I haven’t seen any reviews so I was totally excited to open up the box and check it out. And I appreciate that the newer box companies probably don’t have the capital to print custom boxes, but I do love that they make them their own you know?

First Look

If you saw WB’s 1st birthday pictures, you know how I love the red and aqua color combo. It should come as no surprise that yeah, I love this first look!

Second First Look

I was excited to see a few products that looked totally useful, but yet I’d never tried before! And the box was stocked full, which I also love.

The Information Card

Mama Lana has a box for each month of your pregnancy. I received the last box in the collection. I thought the information card had a very sweet note on it. I can see being a new mom and getting a box like this in the mail, along with a sweet note telling you what a beautiful job you are doing being pretty amazing during those first few weeks. I know I would have liked it.

Mama Lana breaks down their boxes into the following five categories:

mindPurple Leaves and Red Cherries ($28.95): I have never heard of this book before, but it sounds great. It’s a collection of short stories, journal space and a Mothers’ Toolkit, and is inspiring, supporting and comforting. I plan to pass this along to one of my friends who is expecting her first in a few months. I know it will be well received to say the least!

body: Badger Sleep Balm ($5.99): Bager sleep blam is an organic cream for enhancing sleep throughout the evening. I am totally trying this (on me) I have such a hard time falling asleep and maybe this will help? And while new moms are usually exhausted, it’s hard to get even a few hours of good sleep in in a row because you are so worried about the baby! When they are awake you are trying to get them to go to sleep so you can sleep. But when they are sleeping, you are constantly wondering why they aren’t screaming and hoping they are okay! This cream is supposed to relax your skin and hopefully let you sleep a little better!

soul: Blissful Birth Cards by Nine Moon Blooming ($9): Listen, I am not going to lie. When I saw these cards, I thought they were tarot cards. And I thought wow, that’s a random fit in this box. They are actually Blissful Birth Cards and are meant to inspire new moms. They can always be used as focal points during birth. It’s not something I would use while giving birth, but I know a lot of people are very into that kind of stuff!

belly: Vosges Dark Chocolate ($7.50) & Earth Mama Angel Baby Monthly Comfort Tea ($0.37): This chocolate? Yes please! It’s a great pre- or post-baby indulgence and I think we all know that chocolate solves all problems. As for the tea, it’s suppose to help with those post-partum aches and cramps. I wish I liked tea, I really do. Because it seems to be able to do some pretty amazing things!

baby: On the Day You Were Born by Debra Frasier ($7.15): I feel like I should have read this before, but I never have. I’ve read On the Night You Were Born, so maybe that’s where I am getting confused? Regardless, this book is a classic and I look forward to reading it with the kids.

bliss: Teething Bling Bracelet ($12.99): This is probably the item I am most excited about. I thought WB was getting on of his top teeth, but clearly I was wrong because I haven’t seen it yet. Although, he won’t ever let me look in his mouth either, so maybe it is there? This bracelet is perfect and stylish and an awesome teether! WB is in love!

All totaled I came up with a value of $71.95 for the Mama Lana Box of Bliss. One Box of Bliss from Mama Lana is $59, while the full box service is $459, which works out $51 for each of the nine boxes.  The full box option starts at 12 weeks of pregnancy and comes to Mama each month through baby’s grand arrival. I think this would make a perfect gift for an expecting mom! I can’t think of one expecting mom that wouldn’t love a box full of goodies just for them every month! Amazing!
