May Bespoke Post (Refresh)

We loved last month’s Bespoke Post Box of Awesome so much last month that there was no question we’d subscribe again this month.  Bespoke Post delivers fresh and interesting lifestyle brands and products to men. Each month, you’ll get to choose from their of our limited-edition boxes filled with an array of products built around a central, unique theme.  Not into any of them?  Just skip the month and you won’t be charged.

The Box

This month’s Bespoke Post box was smaller than last month’s box.  The contents were totally different, so it makes complete sense.  Bespoke Post ships via FedEx Smart Post, however, it doesn’t annoy me like it does with PopSugar because I know exactly what’s in this box.

First Look

I was totally shocked to find out that this box was not sealed at all.  And even more surprised that everything was in perfect condition.  In the 11 days it took to travel from New Jersey to Michigan (it took a slight detour through West Virginia), nothing spilled, opened, fell out, etc.  Amazing!

Second First Look

Ohh, I saw the bag online when I opted in for the box, but I loved it even more at first glance.  I couldn’t wait to tear into the rest!

The Information Card

The May Bespoke Post theme was “Refresh” and includes items to set the stage for your day to exceed expectations.  The card said “Use this rich collection of tools and products to set the tone”.  Here’s what the box included:

~Dopp Kit, Blue Claw Co.($60): This dopp kit was made exclusively for Bespoke Post by Blue Claw Co. and it’s beautiful.  It’s even better in person than I expected it to be.  I estimated the value of the bag based on their website so I think I’m pretty close.   B uses a dopp kit now (he showers at the gym before work so he uses it daily), but it’s not nearly as fancy as this.  I am certain he will be switching to this ASAP.

~Mitch Double Hitter 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner($20): I didn’t even know Paul Mitchell had a men’s line.  I am certain this will end up in B’s dopp kit.  It smells good and B likes to try new things.

~Mitch Reformer Texturizer Strong Hold/Matte Finish($21.50):  B used to have a holy grail hair product, but I don’t think he uses it anymore.  His hair is still super short, but when it grows out I am certain he will test this out.  It says you only need a dime sized dollop of his for the hold you need, so this should last for ages!

~Sasquatch Soap Handmade Soap (Gold Moss Scrub) ($6): Both B and I never used to really used bar soap before subscription boxes, but since they send them, we use them!  B is actually just finishing up a charcoal soap I received in one of my boxes and I know this will be next.  It smells nice and manly, which I also love about it.

Sasquatch Soap – Handmade Soap (Gold Moss Scrub)

~Cremo Face Wash($7.99):  I believe B has purchased a few products from this line all on his own, but I don’t know if he has tried the face wash? I know he likes the line though, so this will do in the dopp kit too!

Cremo Face Wash

~Gold Bond Powder($1.45): To be honest, I didn’t even know what gold bond powder was for.  I GTS and learned that it relieves itching, absorbs moisture and soothes skin.  B said you use it on your feet.   Good to know.

Gold Bond Powder

~Gold Bond Ultimate Lotion($1): This is an everyday hand / face / body lotion.  It smells good and isn’t all greasy, which is great.  If B doesn’t use it, I will ;).  I am always looking for travel sized lotions for the car, my bag, etc.

Gold Bond Ultimate Lotion

~Marvis Mint Toothpaste ($1.40): Oh man, B loves this stuff.  Loves it.  He got it in his Birchbox, then I got one in my Birchbox and now it’s here again.  I kinda hope to keep getting samples so I don’t have to break down and buy him the full size.

Marvis Mint Toothpaste

~Cortizone-10($2.50): Honestly who can’t use this? Every time we need this, we don’t have it and I have to run off to CVS and grab some.  I am more than happy to get this today.  We played outside for 20 minutes today after it poured and the bugs were crazy. It’s only a matter of time before L comes out of his room and tells me about how he’s itchy!

Cortizone-10

~drinkwel Drinker’s Multivitamin ($2.67): B saw these and declared “I need to drink more”.  I suggested he take them to Bonnaroo.  I don’t know if they really work, but I suppose it’s worth a try right?

All totaled I came up with a value of $124.51 for the May “Refresh” Bespoke Post box.  INSANE since the box itself is only $45/month.  I am already anxious to see what next month’s theme will be and I don’t have to wait long (they announce on the 1st of the month).  I’m hoping for something booze related!
