May Bulu Box

If you aren’t familiar, Bulu Box offers a great way to discover vitamin, supplement and health products each month. And, much like Birchbox, you are able to review your samples for points to spend in their store.

The Box
First Look

I mentioned it last month, that Bulu Box does not send out tracking numbers.  They ship via USPS around the 15th of the month, so you’ll get your box soon after that.

The Information Card

The information card includes pictures and descriptions of all of the products in the box.  On the reverse side is a “My Sample Journal” which lists each of the samples and then asks how you felt before the sample and how you left after so you can easily remember, yeah I like that one, or nope, that wasn’t for me.  Love this idea!  Here’s what was inside:

~The ThinPill ($29.95): I could only dream that there was a pill that just boom, made you thin. It supposedly works by inhibiting enzymes in the body preventing the conversion of carbs to far. It also says it suppresses appetite while burning away unwanted calories and fat. Again, I know it takes more than a pill. If there was a pill that made you thin, it’d certainly be more than $29.95/month!

The ThinPill

~Fit n’ Crisps by Promax ($1.20): These come in two flavors (Vanilla Marshmallow and Cinnamon Crunch) and let me tell you, the Vanilla Marshmallow one I got was good! Yummy actually. It’s got 13g of protein and is billed as a perfect quell to your sugar cravings. I will for sure be ordering more of these!

Fit n’ Crisps by Promax

~Fitmixer Amino (Sample): This gives your muscles fuel to “burn longer and stronger”. B uses products similar to this in his pre-workout routine all the time so I know he’ll give this a go!

Fitmixer Amino

~NeoCell Beauty Builder (Sample): This is marked Free Sample, so I am not assigning a value to it.  NeoCell Beauty Builder works at building your hair, nails & skin.  While my post-baby hair is growing back nicely, I wouldn’t mind it speeding up a little.  I don’t remember this so much with L, but I now have bangs because I lost so much hair after WB that is now growing back.  No one tells you this stuff folks!

NeoCell Beauty Builder

~JCORE Zero Lite ($0.44): This is suppose to increase metabolism and fat breakdown and is also caffeine free.  At first I thought I’d give it to B, but now I am going to try it and see how it stacks up to Spark.   And is is possible that I don’t need caffeine daily?  Does anyone NOT drink any caffeine on a daily basis?  Show me your ways!

JCORE Zero Lite

~$5 Gym Pact Card: I have talked about Gym Pact before, but it’s a site that pays you to work out.  Or, you pay them if you don’t work out.  B uses and it loves it (and earns money), while I haven’t signed up yet.  Maybe I will now though.  I do not like to lose money (except at the casino), so this could be great motivation.

$5 Gym Pact Card

All totaled, this month’s Bulu Box has a value of $36.59.  Would I have paid that for it?  No.  However, after reviewing the box for points (you can spend them at Bulu Box), it brings the cost of the box from $10 down to $4, so do I think that’s worth it? Of course I do!!!  I do think I am going to switch back to the regular Bulu Box though since that seems to be a better fit for us.
