May Conscious Box

I ordered Conscious Box a few months back when they were on Plum District I believe.  It was a great deal and I just couldn’t pass it up.  In case you don’t know, Conscious Box offers a monthly delivery of pure and sustainable products that are handpicked from businesses that care for the planet. You’ll receive 10-20 items from companies working towards the most ethical goals.

The Box

Conscious Box ships via USPS and was one of the boxes I was surprised to see when I got home from my trip.  I recalled ordering it, but since it’s not one of my regular boxes, it slipped my mind.

The Box in the Box

Conscious Box is a box in a box and it’s such a snug fit that I had to turn the outer box upside down to get it out!  It was a heavy box this month.

First Look

You can’t tell from this picture, but the box was packed full.  Conscious Box is another box I would like to watch being packed up.  How they get it all in there is beyond me.  Ohh, and this picture reminds me.  I have no idea what that “ticket” is for.  I hope it doesn’t mean I won a million dollars and now someone else has claimed it since you all have the number?  Because that would suck.

The Information Card

The May Conscious Box theme is “Blossom with Spring”.  Conscious Box does not include a detailed information card.  Rather, a few days after the box arrives, you will receive an e-mail with a list of products and descriptions of items you received in your box.  Here’s what was inside.  It’s a lot of stuff.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

~Ultima Replenisher Everyday Health Drink (Sample): This appears to me to be a “natural” version of Spark.  I will give it a god, but I doubt I will like it as much!

~Mac-n-Mo’s Morselicious Treats (Code): I didn’t take a picture of this, but it’s a discount code for mac-n-mos’s treats.  I doubt I will use the code since it’s only 15%, but I wouldn’t mind trying these.

~MRM Relax-All with Phenibut (Sample): This works with your body to reduce stress and bring you back to balance and I can’t wait to try it out.  I’m not sure if I have trouble sleeping because of stress, but I do have trouble falling asleep because my mind is constantly going, so maybe this will help!

~Orgain Healthy Kids Organic Nutritional Shake ($2): This kids shake is made with organic fruits and vegetables, packed with protein, and free of GMOs, corn syrup, or artificial junk and I can’t wait to see what L thinks. That kid has good taste and is totally honest, so we’ll know what it’s like.  I would have made him try it already, but I just put it in the fridge and trying to warm would alter his opinion.

~Healthy HooHoo Gentle Feminine Cleanser (Sample): When I saw this I was like no, they really didn’t name it that did they?  Really?  But they sure did.  And it totally makes me giggle!!

~Earthpaste Amazingly Natural Toothpaste  ($4.59): Earthpaste Amazingly Natural Toothpaste is truly safe, made without glycerin, fluoride, artificial coloring, and foaming agents and I am going to have B test this out.  He’s kind of picky about his toothpaste, while I am kinda just like whatever.  If B likes it, we’ll know it’s good.

~Zu-Kay Live Foods ($3.99): This is a coupon for a free zu-kay probiotic cultured veggie drink and totally want to try it.  However, I looked online and there is no place within a 150 miles that sells it.  And listen, I don’t live in the middle of nowhere.  I’ll hang out to it in case they expand though.  Whole Foods around here should eventually get it.

~Ecover Automatic Dishwasher Tablets (Sample): I use Honest Co. dishwasher pods, but I have tried Ecover before and I like them too.  If I didn’t use (and love) the Honest Co. ones, I would probably buy these!

~Somersaults Cinnamon Crunch (Sample): I’ve tried a few other flavors of Somersaults (Salt & Pepper & Original), but never cinnamon.  They are quite good!   Why don’t I buy these at the store?

~Ethical Electric Renewable Energy: Just for fun, I looked to see if Ethical Electric was available in my state.  It is not, which did not surprise me at all.  I would be totally down for switching if it was (and wasn’t insanely expensive).
~Yes To Cucumbers Natural Sunscreen (Sample): I love the “Yes To” line and have never tried their sunscreen. I only wish there were more of it though.  I use A LOT of sunscreen.  A lot.  Better safe than sorry!

~A.Vogel Herbamare Original (Sample): B loves trying new salts and spices, so I think he’ll enjoy this.  It’s a combination of sea salt & 12 freshly harvested, organically grown herbs and vegetables.  Interesting right?

~Dream Water Sleep and Relaxation Shot ($5): Every time we get these in a sample box, B tried them before I get a chance.  Not this time these.  I am trying at least one of these!  For sure.

~BIJA Gentle Senna Tea (Sample): Ahh, tea.  This is going to B.  I don’t care what these boxes say, I am NOT going to drink tea.  Ever.  I get so much.  Ohh, that reminds me, I need to gather the “girly” tea I have accumulated these past few months for my cousin who I will see this weekend that loves tea.  She’ll be thrilled!

I kind of gave up on doing a price breakdown for this box because there are SO many things in this box and it would have taken forever.  But once again, I was very impressed with my Conscious Box.  It’s $19.95/month ($12 + $7.95/shipping) and totally worth it in my opinion.

Do you subscribe to Conscious Box? What’d you think of this months box? If you are interested in subscribing or want to learn more, click here.  And you can try your first box for only $7.95 (the shipping cost) with the code: “FIRSTBOXFREE”!!!
