May Love With Food Box

I thought I might get my Love With Food box before I left for my trip, but I wasn’t that lucky.  I did see a few Instagram pictures of it though and loved what I saw!

The Box

Unlike last month, this month’s Love With Food box closed perfectly.  Which one again led me to wonder how on earth they got everything in the box and it to fit perfect?  This is a seriously challenge people.  I tried to repack it and umm, it didn’t go well.

First Look

I was excited to open the box and see nothing that I was familiar with.  Well, except for one thing.  But the rest of the stuff?  I’d never seen it before.  And I love that.

The Information Card

The May Love With Food Theme was “Mother’s Day Breakfast in Bed” and is described as “On that special Sunday in May, we celebrate the most amazing women in our lives:moms!”.  And went on to say “To celebrate, why not give her the day off, starting with a delicious breakfast in bed”.  I don’t think I have ever gotten breakfast in bed, but maybe it’ll happen as the kids get older.  L knows what I like, so I think he’d do a pretty good job!  Here’s what was included this month:

~Great Full Cookie from the Cookie Department: Umm, I LOVE the Cookie Department. I even posted about it in my What I’m Loving Wednesday.  I have never tried this flavor, so that makes it even better.  I wouldn’t mind if they swapped out the cranberries in the cookie for chocolate chips, but I suppose you can’t have it all.

~Strawberry Preserves from Bonne Maman: I have gotten this in a few different subscription boxes and it’s always a hit with L.  He loves having his own little L sized jar at breakfast.  That reminds me, I saw the cutest little Nutella bottles in some store in Cozumel.  It was a set of 7 mini Nutella jars – one for each day of the week.  L would go crazy for these.  I need to see if I can find them online.

~Hand Drip Coffee from Caffe Borsa: I need to go on a mission and find the make your own Vue cup thing that we used to have for our K-Cup machine.  B always used to use it make coffee.  And this would be perfect for that!

~Original Cajun Seasoning from “Slap Ya Mama”: The name of this made me laugh.  According to the card, legend has it that this spice makes food taste so good that it’ll make you want to “slap ya mama”.  I look forward to trying this on some chicken B makes on the grill!

~Tomato Crunch from Snapz Crisps: Hmm, these are interesting.  They are tomato slices. which have been gently dried to a crisp texture.  Love With Food suggests using them on a breakfast sandwich.  I NEVER would have thought about that on my own, but why not?  I want to start making egg white breakfast sandwiches are home, so I will totally throw these on them.

~Authentic Almond Biscotti from Biscotti Bari: I do like biscotti and it’s something I would never buy at the store myself (I don’t know why, but I just wouldn’t), so this is awesome.  And I don’t care that it’s broke.  Tastes just the same ;).

~Latte Candy from Bali’s Best: I had one of these right away and I loved it!  The only thing that would make it better would be if it has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee.  Now that would be amazing.

~Mrs. May’s Strawberry Pineapple Crunch: This was the “secret item” I received this month.  On the information card it directed me to the Love With Food website to find out more.  Except when I went there, it wasn’t there.  But I know how to GTS and found that this is just a delicious little snack food.  It comes in tons of flavors, all of which sound yummy!
