~We went up-north for the holiday weekend and had a great time. It’s was our first up-north trip of the season and while the weather wasn’t going to be amazing, we had to get up there (L would have freaked it we didn’t go). As usual it was a great weekend and included lots of jet-skiing (if you do it right, you can jet-ski and NOT get wet – the water was freezing), swimming (B and L and Buddy and those who flipped their jet-skis), hanging out with family and even fishing! L and B even jet-skiied over to my Aunt’s for breakfast, which L thinks is about the coolest thing ever! We all had a great time, even WB who was the life of the party for sure.
~I am planning to send out my weekly newsletter tomorrow morning sometime, so I’ll recap all the box information there, but I want to get two totally new to me boxes for June. The first is going to be Beauty Box 5. It’s only $12/month and I can’t wait to see how it stacks up against boxes at the same price point like Birchbox and ipsy. But I thought I’d let you guys pick the other one. Any box you really want to check out but want to see a review on it first??
~A few giveaways have ended and I realized I never picked (much less announced) the winners! So here goes. The winner of the Barefoot Books giveaway is Heather S! Congrats Heather!!

And the winner of the newsletter exclusive May PopSugar Box giveaway is Noelle B! Congrats Noelle! I will be e-mailing both of you soon!

And if you haven’t already entered today, don’t forget to go enter my May Favorite Things Giveaway! It ends in a few days and you don’t want to miss your chance to win a fabulous Tory Burch clutch (along with a bunch of other goodies).
~So while at the Pottery Barn Outlet this weekend (yes, we went), I picked up a crib bumper. A girls crib bumper to be exact. No, I am not pregnant and if I do have another, I fully expect it to be a boy. So really I have no explanation for this. But it was 90% off (it was $9) and YOU KNOW how I am about 90% off items. L also picked out train pillowcases and to give you an example of the discounts you get at the outlet, they are $14 at Pottery Barn Kids. And $9.99 at the outlet, plus we got an additional 10% off (they usually do that over the holiday weekends), so it was $9. A nice savings!
~After L got home today (he stayed an extra night up-north with my parents), I decided it was time he got a bike. He so wasn’t into it, but come on, it’s time. I think he wonders why he needs to learn to ride a bike when he has a car you know? So we went to TRU and picked one out, along with a new helmet. He wanted the Cars bike, but I was able to steer him in another direction since, to be honest, it seemed a little young for him. He LOVES the orange one we settled on and we just need to ditch the training wheels and he’ll be all set. Any ideas to help him not need these?
How was your weekend? What’s on your mind tonight? I can’t wait to hear!
