~So I switched up the link submission thing and I have my fingers crossed that 900 spam links don’t appear in here this week. Seriously, WTF? I researched some other link-up hosts and may have to switch if this spam doesn’t stop. Heck, I’ll even pay a few bucks if that’s what it takes!
~The catching up on the reviews continues. I feel like I am making good progress! I still need to get lullubee, Little Passports, Kiwi Crate, The Happy Trunk, Boink Box, Bulu Box, Haute Legs and Conscious Box done. Not too bad. I didn’t get any boxes yesterday, so while I was a little sad, it was a nice break. I should be all caught up with the boxes I received last week by the end of the weekend. And I am expecting The Little Book Club, Bespoke Post, HelloFresh, Dottie Box, GLOSSYBOX, bluum, DoggieLawn and Petit Vour this month. Life is good ;). I seriously don’t know how I got so lucky.
~Umm, I was talking to some of the other mom’s at L’s school today and learned that school is out the first week in June. Seriously? I thought it was mid-June?? I best get my act in gear with those end of the year gifts huh? L’s main teacher is getting a Stella & Dot Apple Pendant and a Target giftcard and I think the teacher’s helper is just getting a Target giftcard. I feel like you can’t go wrong with a giftcard and I can’t not do the S&D necklace you know? Ohh, and I need to get the “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” book so his teacher can leave a note for him and sign it. My plan is to get all of his teachers from preschool – 12th grade to sign it. We’ll see how that goes. After this, I’ll be 1 for 1.
~Once I get caught up on my reviews, I will get a post together on my thoughts about the Disney cruise. Anything you want to know more about? The boat (it’s huge)? The Food (it never ended)? The ports (L would have been happy to skip most)? Kids activities (they have everything)? Shirtless pictures of B (he’s hot)? You just let me know ;).
~So I was watching Leno last night and Vin Diesel was on (who I think is hot by the way) promoting Fast & Furious 6. Umm, wait what? 6??? I thought there were maybe two of those movies max. 6? For real? Wow. I did NOT realized that was such an amazing series. Should I be watching? I do loving watching Jimmy Fallon’s writer who is watching the films at 4x their normal speed and then comes on to do a recap. Maybe I should watch them like that to get caught up?
~And finally don’t forget to go enter my May Favorite Things Giveaway! And do me a huge favor and answer the question I asked (What are some of your favorite things) for the blog comment entry. If I pick someone who didn’t follow the rules and answer the question (I get a lot of “thank you” and “this is great” responses) as the winner I am going to be in a real pickle because I’d hate to disqualify them, but then again………..
That’s it from here. What’s on your mind today? Don’t forget to link-up below!
Ns graduation was themed to Oh the Places you will go. It was really cute and the librarians read the book to the kids and their graduation certificates are that theme. I’ll blog some pics soon. 😉
I always worry about just sending a gift card but my teacher friends say they love them. So I try to make/get a little something and then toss the gift cards in too. Target and CVS are my favorite ones since I know everyone loves those just like I do.
Tell me all about your cruise? I love them and the disney is a blast. N went into the kids club and didn’t want to come out. Next time I’m planning on leaving him in there more and hopefully C will be old enough to go too.
Do you read EW? They had a whole spread on the different Fast and Furious movies last week. I read it and had no clue there were 6. I knew there were 3 and thought this was number 4. I’ve only seen the first one but I’m thinking I need to catch up. Its another guilty pleasure with all the men candy in it. 😉
You should definitely catch up on the Fast and The Furious movies. 1, 3, 4,5 and 6 include Vin Diesel and 5 and 6 includes The Rock. OMG! How can you go wrong? My daughter is graduating high school on Saturday morning, and I am still planning a movie date to see it Saturday night. Can’t wait.
We are having all of our daughter’s teachers sign Oh, The Places You’ll Go too! Instead of keeping it hidden from her, though, we read the messages her previous teachers wrote in there on the night before each new school year begins. She calls them her ‘good luck hugs’ from previous teachers.
I’m so excited to hear about your cruise! We’ve only cruised with Royal Caribbean so I want to know what makes Disney cruises magical. And how did WB do? Do they have enough stuff to keep him entertained? Did you get any time to have a “date” with just you and B? I love cruising but cruising with kids is a completely different thing.
Our preschool was out May 16th this year…it went by so fast!
We have that book 🙂 What a great idea! I may have to steal that one 🙂
My favorite things right now: Coke Zero (I drink WAY too much, but I don’t care! Good for you for giving up soda, but I just can’t do it. I’m trying to eat healthier and move more and I feel like this is my last guilty pleasure!), Maybeline Baby Lips (love the slight hint of color, makes my lips feel good, and can’t beat the price), JR Watkins soap & Lotion (can buy at Target now- love the old fashion looking bottles, the scent is AMAZING- try the lemon hand lotion- I give them as teacher appreciation gifts with a sweet little poem -teaching hands, attached).
Love your post!
Melissa
Wow school being out the 1st week of June does seem early!
Definitely once you have time, write a detailed post about the cruise. I’ve never gone a cruise before but I’m interested in doing it at least once. What type of activities were there at the ports? Did you younger son enjoy himself? And were there vegetarian options available?
I want to see all the Disney themed food!! And all about how L and WB loved the vacation!
I’m so stealing your idea with the book. It’s great! We luv book’s in our home and I’m sure my lil one would be so excited to have a note from his teacher. 🙂 I was busting up when I read “I was talking to some of the other mom?s” I’m like is she talking to me.lol(I was the one questioning if I was missing out on pick up/drop off chit chat) I’ve decided this year is just gone but next year I plan to be open about it. 🙂
I can’t believe they made so many of those movies. My husband is the reason I’ve seen them all and it’s all a crazy timeline. I’m like didn’t that guy die 2 movies ago and then I just opened a huge can of worms of an explanation.lol They are good if u like action but the story lines suck. 🙂
All I have to say is a HUGE THANK YOU! First for the Stella & Dot necklace idea for teachers…i don’t know how i missed that one.
Also the book idea is fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing that. I’m gonna do that too!
Aww that book idea is super cute!!
We want to go on a Disney cruise so bad. We have been to Disney World twice and thinking of either going to Disney World again next year or on a Disney cruise. We have a 12 year old and a 18 month old so, they will be 12 and 2 yrs and 5 months when we want to go. Did you use the child care on the cruise? I’m a little nervous leaving the kids with strangers but, I’m sure they are qualified after all its Disney.
I love the idea of having teachers sign “Oh the Places You’ll Go” each school year. I might have to borrow that idea for my daughter.
Also, not hatin’ on Vin Diesel in Fast & the Furious but let’s throw some love at Paul Walker too. 😉
Spam has been horrible lately for me. I don’t even host a link-up and it seems like the ONLY blog comments I get are spam. Sad face.
Can’t wait to hear about the cruise. My concern with a cruise is feeling trapped. LOL. Leave to Ms. Anxiety, right?
Great idea with having L’s teachers sign his book every year! It will probably embarrass him when he’s in high school, but he’ll love it later! And would love to hear all about the cruise! Maybe L could do a guest post with his thoughts? And I don’t think any of us would turn down your offer of shirtless pics of B! Did he run laps every morning on the deck? My hubby walked every morning as he complained the cabin was too small and he couldn’t wait to get out. Think he would have slept on the deck if he could have! *L*
I’m definitely curious about the cruise! Can’t wait to see your review of it. We are considering a Disney cruise next feb or march. Did you fly in the same day you boarded te ship? We will have a 3.5 year old at the time we are considering going. I’m assuming there will be plenty to do for a kid that age! Any tips and tricks would be appreciated!
