It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Troubles. I’ve said it before, but this should be named “things i’m annoyed / confused / want to complain about”, however I couldn’t figure out how to make any of those into a snappy title, so Tuesday Troubles it is. And yes, I do realize that these aren’t true “troubles”. I know these for sure could be defined as first world problems!
~Dude, what is up with the new Facebook layout? I leave country for a week, ONE week and this is what happens. I can’t pinpoint why I don’t like it, but it’s like the change to Pinterest. I just don’t. It might be that the “stuff” on the left is such a contrast from the rest of the page? Maybe that’s it. Either way, I am not a fan.
~Back when I used to work I used to be able to get ALL caught up on my work, go on vacation and come back and pick up where I left off. My “tasks” were anywhere from a few days to maybe two weeks, so I was always careful to get them wrapped up before I left for vacation. So I never had to worry about playing catch up when I returned. So this is a bit of a shock to me! I’m glad I answered e-mails while I was away (thanks to WB and his naps) or things would be totally CRAZY!!
~I have mentioned this about a thousand times before, but it drives me insane, totally insane when someone posts this big story on FB or wherever about how they need prayers, thoughts, are going through a horrible time, etc. and then goes on to say “I can’t talk about it now” or “I don’t have time to explain” or “I’ll tell you later”. No. How about you tell me, ohh, I don’t know, RIGHT NOW? If you had time to post two paragraphs about it on Facebook, I am pretty sure you have time throw those last two sentences in explaining WTF you are talking about.
~Can we institute a universal bedtime in the neighborhoods? It’s hard to explain to your kid why he needs to go to bed when other kids in the neighborhood are bouncing around having fun. And he knows it because he can hear it. Sometimes my kid is the one in bed. And sometimes he’s the one out being loud and having fun while other kids are supposed to be sleeping. What time is bedtime in the summer? Don’t tell me when the street lights come on because my 5 year old doesn’t need to be up playing outside THAT late. Is 7:30-8:00pm normal to come in and start bedtime? Too late? What time do your kids go to bed? You can’t just eat dinner and go to bed, you gotta get back outside and play….
That’s it from here for now! What’s troubling you today?
