June Birchbox Man - SUITS Edition
June Birchbox Man – SUITS Edition

B’s July Birchbox Man arrived today and I was actually kind of surprised to see it since the tracking said it wasn’t going to be arriving until the 1st. B always enjoys his Birchboxes and has been subscribing for ages now!

The Box

Birchbox Man (and Birchbox Women) paired with SUITS this month so the outer box is a fun reflection of that!  The July Birchbox Man also shipped a little differently this month. Instead of UPS Mail Innovations, it shipped via Newgistics.  UPS Mail Innovations took 6-7 days to get my the June box here.  Newgistics took only 4 days!

The Box in the Box

While the box itself was the same as prior months, I thought the inner box was cute so I wanted to show it.  I have never heard of SUITS before, but I might just have to watch!  If they paired with Birchbox I will probably like it right?

Second First Look

I love the colors in the box this month and also really like this guy’s suit on the card.  It actually kind of reminds me of JT.

The Information Card

Like I mentioned earlier, Birchbox (both the mens and women’s boxes) paired up with SUITS this month, which is a hit series (why haven’t I heard of this) on USA and is premiering it’s 3rd season on JUly 16th.  This month’s box includes an assortment of items to give you swagger and moxie to wear the suit – and not let it wear you.  Here is what B received:

~GO247 Face & Bald Cleanser ($4.50): This cleanser is for your face or your bald head and leaves skin fresh.  The cap was a little loose on ours and it a tad peeked out on the container, which is why it doesn’t look all perfect.

~Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood Shaving Cream ($5.13): Oh how I wish B would use this.  He came home from the Tough Mudder today claiming he was going to shave it, but I’ll see it when I believe it.

~Acca Kappa White Moss Cologne ($1.31): I smelled this and while it’s described as “a warm, sensual scent achored by lavender and juniper essential oil”, I’m not 100% sure what I smelled.  It was light and smelled nice, but I can’t place it.  B uses ALL of his samples so I know he will make good use of this.

~wurjin stiffs Knotz Cufflinks ($9.50): Ours are a little different than the ones in our Birchbox profile (ours are the barrel and it shows the round was coming in our box) and I kinda like ours better!  B wears cufflinks every time he wears a button down shirt, so I know he will wear these, but I think he would have enjoyed the power stays which were in some of the other boxes more.

~Roosevelt Supply Card Case ($25): This case is very nice and well made (and I LOVE the red) and I am sure B will be able to find some sort of use for it.  However, when the cleanser leaked it got on the case and stained it ;(.  Boo! I have an e-mail into Birchbox about this and I will let you know what they say.  ETA: They sent me an new box.  It was the June box though so we didn’t get a new card case.  I am find with that resolution and did not contact them again.

All totaled, B’s July Birchbox Man had a value of $45.44, (NOT including points for doing reviews and purchasing the box itself (*) – which would bring the value up to $52.44), which was, as always, way more than the $20 price tag. We totally love Birchbox Man and B looks forward to receiving this box every month.

Do you subscribe to Birchbox Man?  What’d you think of this month’s box?  Did you get the cufflinks or the power stays (or the lapel flower which I know B would never wear)?

(*) You only get points for purchasing the box if you buy an annual subscription (or 3-month, 6-months, etc.). You don’t get points if you are on a month to month subscription.
(**) If you want to see all the boxes this month, click here and change the 1 at the end to anything from a 2 to 15 since there were 15 box variations this month.
