June The Bride Box

The Bride Box is a brand new monthly box (this is their second box) filled with fun full-sized gifts, samples, and more catered specifically to brides. I’m not a bride, but I’m certainly not going to let that stop my from enjoying a fun box!

The Bride Box ships via USPS Priority Mail and arrived from Florida quite quickly. It didn’t fit in my mailbox (it was sort of stuffed today), which I am guessing ticked my mail lady right off.

First Look

I really enjoyed last month’s box and was excited to see what they did this month.  First boxes are usually amazing, so second boxes are the true test to new subscription boxes.  And from what I saw in the first look, the The Bride Box was going to pass!

The Information Card

The June The Bride Box theme was “Treat Yourself” and included a goodies to treat your self during the planning process and also some “treats” which could also help you decide on favors for your wedding or wedding shower.  Here are the details:

~In a Jar Designs Cookies ($12): I LOVE cookies in a jar and have always wanted to make them and pass them out during the holidays. I’ve never quite gotten around to making them and it appears I never have to.  In a Jar Designs will make custom labels for your jars and will even add a monogram on the top for you!  I don’t know feasible these would be as favors for a big wedding?  But a small shower?  Totally.

~Jen Ramey Designs Mr. & Mrs. Wine Charms ($6): I got Jen Ramey wine glass charms in my March Dottiebox and loved them as these are just as cute!  We’ll use these on our water bottles next week when we start the Challenge!  It’s suggested on the information card that these be used as a seating chart/ favor combo.  Guests could use these during the wedding which MIGHT just keep them from losing their drinks and costing you a bundle on the bar tab from the tossing of all those half full drinks because no one knew which one was theirs after coming back from the dance floor.

~Luxe Lollies Peach Sweet Tea Lollipop($1.60): How cute are these? They come in a ton of flavors (including Cucumber Melon, Chardonnay and Vanilla Buttercream Cake to name a few) and can be custom matched to your wedding decor.  You can select the color of the ribbon and the lollipop (seriously) and even create a custom label.  Oh, and B is super excited about this because he was sad I had the last tea flavored lollipop we got.  This one is all him.

~LL Bridal Designs Petals(~$2.50): LL Bridal Designs creates custom cake toppers, ring pillows and more.  These pedals are hand stamped and can be used as table decorations or in a flower girl basket.

~Heart Sparklers ($5.33): I had NO idea there was such a thing as a heart shaped sparkler and I think I am in love.  They are adorable and cannot wait to use them up-north for the 4th. They’d be so cute at a wedding reception and I really like that the stick part isn’t what you light on fire like it is with normal sparklers (does that make sense).  It just somehow seems “safer”.

~Beauty Berries Lavender Bath Bomb ($8): These aren’t available in the company’s etsy shop (yet), but I guessed at a value of $4/each.  The Bride Box included these to help brides to be take a break from wedding planning and de-stress.  Who couldn’t use a little de-stressing??

~Charmed Hair Ties ($5): I love these and use a hair tie of some sort every single day. I really like the colors and think the charm one is the cutest.  I know you can make these on your own, but I never will, so these are perfect!

All totaled, I came up with an (estimated) value of $40.43 for the June The Bride Box.  While the value was less than the May Box, I enjoyed it just as much and it was still more than the $35/month cost of the box, which is always good!

My only daughter is getting married in the next 18 months.. i think i will get this for her as a gift.. she will love it, though with her it is kind f hard to tell, but surprises are ALwAYS nice to get, and i am thinking with her being 6 months pregnant, she might need some cheering up.

PS my daughter is super responsible, but if anyone knows, how to get free/ or very very cheap baby things please, please let me know. this is her first, but they have 3 other children and had to move from thier two bedroom house.

So if anyone can point me in a good direction i would be great ful, as she has NOTHING for the baby yet, which is a baby boy.
