June Dottiebox

Dottiebox, LLC is a fairly new subscription box that introduces you to artists you may not have heard about otherwise.  The handmade items which may be included in a box come from a wide variety of catagories including skincare, cosmetics, jewelry, etc.  If it’s handmade, it could be included!

The Box

I skipped the outer packaging picture this month, but Dottiebox ships via USPS in a padded envelope.  And the inner box is tied all cute with a string, as usual.

First Look

I hadn’t looked at any spoilers for the June Dottiebox, so the first look was a total surprise.  I was pleased by what I saw.  Quite pleased!

The Information Card

I mentioned it last month, but Dottiebox has new information cards which I love.  And the price included on any information cards make me smile.  I love when boxes do this because people want to know they are getting a value with subscription boxes.  Trying new things is amazing, but so is getting a deal ;).

~BrightPop Chain Link Bracelet ($5): This bracelet totally isn’t my style, but I can for sure find a use for it.  I think I’ll pass it on to a friend with a little girl for playing dress-up or something.  Or heck, I’ll give it to L.  He likes a good arm party sometimes ;).

~Handmaden Soap Co. Goat’s Milk Lotion (White Chocolate Raspberry) (Sample): I put this on as soon as I opened the box and I love it.  It smells delicious. And it’s not all greasy or gross.  It’s great.  Also, I feel like I should mention that I tore this label when I pulled the seal off the lid.  It didn’t come like that.

~Honeyrun Farm(Summer Honey) ($6):  Eeek!  I was so excited when I saw this honey in the box.  My cousin has bees and I now have an appreciation of how much work bee keeping is and I know just how long it takes to get this much honey!  I can’t wait to try this!

~Willow Tree Minerals Blush(Passion Fruit) ($12.95):  The information card said that you’d either get blush or nail polish and I was instantly sad when I saw that I didn’t get the nail polish. Because uhh, that’s what I need.  More nail polish.  THe blush is a much better pick for me more sure. It’s a fun shimmery color and I’m throwing it in my makeup bag right now!

~Ebe and Ash Mini Tree of Life Earrings($7): How cute are these little earrings?  I knew this company sounded familiar and it’s because we got a coupon code from them back in the March Dottiebox!  I don’t know why I didn’t notice these before, but their Infinity Bracelets look great. And umm, they are only $3.99!!!

~CAUSE – Woven Joy ($3):  This month’s CAUSE item is from Woven Joy.  Woven Joy artisans are given the opportunity to gain skills in business development, money and time management and product design and each product purchased helps provide for some of their basic needs (food, shelter, clothing, etc.).  And this bracelet totally made me remember how much I used to enjoy making these when I was younger.  We called them friendship bracelets and I used to make some darn good ones!

~LilahV (Coupon): I probably won’t use this coupon, but I checked out their site and what they do is really cool.  LilahV uses beads composed from vintage glass and 24K gold.  It’s pretty cool.

All totaled I came up with a value of $33.95 for the June Dottiebox, LLC.  Boxes are $20/month ($26/month including shipping), so you are totally getting your moneys worth.  Plus, I didn’t even include the cost of shipping in the items which I usually do for smaller boxes like Dottiebox.  Any way you slice it, it’s a deal!
