Kiddo Boxes - Boy
Kiddo Boxes – Boy

Kiddoboxes is a brand new subscription box filled with novelty toys for boys and girls ages 4 thru 8. Every box will be different and boxes cost $19.68 (*) a month. I figured L would love this, so when the folks over at Kiddoboxes asked me if I wanted to check out a box I said yes!

The Box

Kiddoboxes shipped via USPS Priority Mail which always makes me happy.  I say this all the time, but I need to do a shipping comparison post and ship packages all weighing the same across the country and see how much it costs and how quickly they all arrive.

First Look

The first look was exactly what I was expecting from the website!  Pretty much a box of assorted novelty items.  Right away I saw what I knew would be L’s new favorite toy in there.

Since the Kiddoboxes will all be different, they don’t have an information card.  The box had a ton of stuff in it, so hopefully I got pictures of everything!

~Nascar Race Car: You can never have enough cars and this is totally headed to join the rest of them.  Has anyone ever noticed that kids can have 200 cars and play with, oh, maybe 5 at a time?  Yet, the need / want for more cars is always there!

Nascar Car

~Character Building Micro-Figures: I’m guessing these are the inexpensive version of lego figures (which are mighty expensive).  L has already added this to his collection.

Character Building Micro-Figures

~Spiderman Bouncy Ball: This is the new coveted item in the house.  Where’s my Spiderman bouncy ball?  Get it away from WB.  Can I take my Spiderman ball with us?  Every once in a while there is the new it toy in our house and this is it right now.

~Scatter Brainz: We have not opened this up yet because I haven’t quite figured out what wall I will be allowing L to throw these at.  I am thinking we’ll send up taking it up-north because there is paneling up there which seems to be a better fit for these than paint!

Scatter Brainz

~Pirate Favor Set: Pirate sticker, a notepad and a pencil.  This will totally get used.  Sort of OT, but when do kids start to use pencils in school?  There’s not a lot of pencil use in preschool.  Is kindergarden where it starts?

Pirate Favor Set

~Cha-Chings Keeper: I didn’t realize what this was for at first and thought it was just a keychain “thing”.  It’s actually a change keeper and I am putting this in the car for L for when he kinds change on the ground.  He gets it in the car and then loses it.  At least this way I won’t be digging around the car trying to find pennies ;).

Cha-Chings Keeper

~Smartphone: L isn’t at all impressed by this, but WB totally is.  He knows it’s not an iPhone, but it does all the things he wants to do (make noise when he presses the buttons).

Smartphone

~Deck of Cards: This is a tiny deck of cards, which L thought was great, but then again, he’s not the one who has to keep track of them all!

Deck of Cards

~Small Cars: Just little cars WB will enjoy when L doesn’t feel like sharing “his” cars.  I don’t even know why WB has baby toys.  He just wants to play with all of L’s toys.

Small Cars

~Ruler: I may steal this.  I have needed a small ruler on many occasions lately!

Ruler

~Brain Teaser Puzzles: These maybe me a little much for L right now, but I will save them for a stocking stuffer down the road!

Puzzles / Brain Teasers

~Army Guys / Bugs: I have to admit, we don’t have any army guys at out house.  How is this even possible?  Luckily we have some now and L has already started playing with them!

Army Guys / Bugs

~Bungee Chain: I’m not sure L has a use for this, but I could use a new bungee for my casino players cards ;).  Yeah, I’m that old lady in the casino.  And I love it.

Bungee Chain

~Fish Toy (for WB): The nice people at Kiddo Boxes even included something for WB so he wouldn’t be left out!  It was packaged separately and was even labeled!!  It’s in the bathtub now!

Bath Toy

I didn’t do a total on our Kiddoboxes because it just would have been too difficult!  I can’t see getting a Kiddobox every month because it would just be too much “stuff” to deal with (for me) around the house.  But L LOVED it and really liked getting a box of well stuff in the mail for him to dig through and play with.

Kiddoboxes is launching in July and if you want to sign up or get more information, click here!

(*) I have a feeling 1968 is a significant date?  Just a guess though.
