In keeping with tradition, the May Coco Rocha Fancy Box arrived late ;). Just ONCE, I’d like to get the box in the month in applies too. Just once. Fancy Box needs to get these celebs selecting their items a little more quickly you know?
I got a shipping notification for this box on Friday and it arrived today. I was surprised (but pleased) that FedEx delivered it on a Saturday. Everyone should deliver on Saturdays. And Sundays for that matter.
I totally stalked for some spoilers so I knew what was in the box, but hadn’t seen any actual box pictures until mine arrived. I wonder if just once, one time, I can go without spoiling a box? It’d be tough.
I am still loving the little information cards Fancy Box does. And yes, I still save ALL the information cards I get from all my subscription boxes. What on earth am I going to do with all these? Seriously. Any ideas?
Here’s what was in my May Coco Rocha Fancy Box:
~Wyatt Wrap Bracelet by Dannijo ($80): I would never pay $80 for this. Ever. It’s okay, but not $80 worth of okay. Don’t get me wrong, since it’s here and all, I will invite it to an arm party, but it’s not like OMGILOVEIT. I’d probably think it was much cooler if it had like a $20 price tag?
~High Heel Protector by Solemates ($9.95): I don’t wear high heels enough to actually need something like this. Believe it or not, but my lifestyle just isn’t that fancy! LOL! But I will either save them for some outdoor event that I am wearing highs too (they help you avoid getting stuck in the grass and sinking) or gift them along to a fancy friend.
~Corkcicle Classic Wine Chiller ($24.95): Eeek, I love this! This is so something that B and I would buy and I’m actually surprised that we don’t own it yet. It makes me want to open a bottle of wine right this minute. Just to test and see if it works of course ;).
~Mini Moleskin Notebook ($9.95): I have never owned a moleskin notebook, which is odd because. I use little notebooks often. I will totally use this one and I love the color. It’s not overly exciting. But totally useable.
~L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil ($3.37): I am excited to try this, but I wish it were bigger. I like the L’Occitane brand (who doesn’t), but don’t ever actually buy anything from them for some reason.
All totaled, the May Coco Rocha Fancy Box had a value of $118.27. Much of that was from the bracelet though, which I wouldn’t have paid $80 for. But I had a coupon from my super late Pink Fancy Box (or something) months ago, so I only paid $21.95 for the box, which I think was totally worth it.
Did you get the May Coco Rocha Fancy Box? What’d you think? If you are thinking of ordering this or ANY of the Fancy Boxes, click here and get on it! I STILL can’t find any coupon codes (come on already Fancy and release one), but I will let you know if I hear of any. Oh, and if you can’t find the Fancy Box you are looking for, I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. It’s much easier than trying to navigate their site!
love the spatula!
LOL that spatula that you got is awesome! I’m not sure how I feel about this box though? The last one was amazing. This one was just okay. If I was going to spend $80 on a bracelet, it better have at least one diamond on it, not tattered material! It’s still cute, just not $80 cute.
I’m not impressed at with the Fancy Box. If I wouldn’t have used the coupon code I would be asking for a refund
For those cards, you can make marble magnets.
http://www.notmartha.org/tomake/marblemagnets/
You can get the glue, hole punch, and magnets from Michaels which is nice with 40% off coupons. Tap Plastics has the best marbles that are sturdy and clear. I’d recommend at least 1 inch or larger… check on the marble size… to better see the image. My first batch were cute but some detailed images are hard to see at 1 inch.
I canceled my fancy box subscription, but that Amande shower oil is fantastic. It’s such a nice nuetral scent, that I even have my boyfriend hooked on it. They make a matching supple skin oil that is fabulous in the winter when I’m super dry.
The Corkcicle works…but make sure the wine is chilled already. It won’t cool off a room temp wine. And it doesn’t last hours…at least with my experiences.
@Jackie: From what I understand, your’re right if you’re drinking white wine! White wines are supposed to be chilled first before drinking and the corkcicle will keep it at the desired temp after. If you are drinking red wine it doesn’t need to be chilled, just put in the corkcicle and drink! Apparently it makes a big difference what kind of wine you are drinking. Hope this helps!
I LOVE THE CORKCICLE!!! I don’t drink white wine but I have to have this for when I entertain!!!!!!!!
@Lynsey Morgan: You can use it with red wine too! Many people think that you’re supposed to drink red at room temperature, but actually it’s supposed to be slightly chilled. Room temperature today is higher than it used to be, so the corkcicle is supposed to bring out the flavors in red wine more. My boyfriend works in the food industry and told me this!
@Judy: If you are using the corkcicle with white wine, chill the bottle in the fridge first and then use the corckcicle to keep the wine at the desired temperature. If using it for red wine, simply open a room temperature bottle, pour some out and place the corkcicle in the bottle. The red wine should be the desired temperature within 10 minutes. Hope this helps! 🙂
I am intrigued with these heel protectors. How exactly do they prevent you from sinking into the grass?
They just increase the area of your heel’s tip… your weight is distributed over a larger area making the pressure your heel makes on the grass lower, preventing you from sinking.
This box to me was disappointing. The only thing I love is the corkcicle wine chiller. Can’t believe that bracelet is priced at $80. It looks like something I could make myself for cheap. I love L’Occitane and will use the moleskine, but the small sizes of both these items is really disappointing. I also don’t wear high heels often enough, but the heel protectors will come in handy during weddings. However, I do think there were more fashionable heel protectors offered on Fancy than the plain, cheap ones in this box. I just don’t think this box was worth the $46.95 I paid for it. Last month’s box was a hit for me. This one was a clear miss…
Damn! I should’ve signed up for CoCo’s box! For the high heels saver alone. I always ruin my stupid heels on the hot florida concrete and the wet grass. And anything that has to do with wine is fine by me. Yay wine! Fancy should really let people skip months by giving them some idea what is to come…I think more people would keep the subscriptions rather than cancelling after a bad box!
I’ve heard about solemates! Please let us know how they worked if you try them out.
This is actually the June box. I paid for the May box and never received it. I contacted them and when they finally sent my box, it was the June Box. If you search engine the May Coco Rocha Box you will find what that box contained. If you never received it and have a monthly subscription I would suggest contacting them. I was fairly irritated with them! =/
I’m french and it was my first (and last.) command !
I am very disappointed! boxes months before were great! Nail polish etc..
And for this ? A bracelet for 80 $ ?! (It is blue, quite good but not enough for 80!)
Fortunately, I use coupons ..
and there was also no small cards from coco rocha like everyone receive..:(
