My thredUp selections

I’d heard of thredUP before (and had heard good things), so they contacted me and asked if I wanted to give them a try I jumped at the chance. If you aren’t familar, thredUP is an online consignment boutique. You can go on thredUP and browse thousands of like-new clothing items, which have been hand-selected and certified for quality. You can also ship them clothing your family (kids, juniors and womens) has outgrown to thredUP and get paid when the items are sold.

The Package

My thredUP selections arrived in my mailbox very quickly after I ordered them. I’d guess it only took a few days?  It was fast and I was impressed.  I browsed around on thredUP and opted to select two pieces for L. It look me forever to decide because they had SO many cute things to pick from.  Seriously.  SO many.  It was way easy to sort by brand, size, color, etc. though.  Way easier than flipping through racks at a store.  Plus, you didn’t even have to leave the house!

First Look

thredUP had everything packaged very nicely and I was quite impressed. It was just as if (actually better) I’d bought it a fancy boutique and they wrapped it in tissue for me.

Here are the items I selected along with the thredUP prices:

~Striped Polo by Ralph Lauren Polo ($10.49):  I went for this because it’s totally something I would buy for L at full price!  Plus, it said on thredUP that it had a tiny flaw and I wanted to see for myself what a tiny flaw meant to them.  Umm, it means tiny.  I can’t even find it.  The shirt arrived clean and in great condition.  It was exactly how it was described / shown online.

~GAP Sweat Shorts ($9.49): When I saw these I KNEW I had to get them for L. He loves dressing like B and B has shorts just like these so I was sold.  These really are like new and I know that once I give them to L these will be his new favorite pair of shorts.

I was totally thrilled with my first thredUP experience and will for sure be using them again. While I was browsing (again) last night, I realized that you can not only sort by item, size, etc. you can also sort by family.  Maybe you really like a certain piece and it’s totally your style. Well you can click “other items from this family” and see everything they have sent to thredUP!  So cool.  I am even thinking about sending a bag of clothing there to see what happens.  I have SOOOOOOO many clothes for the boys that this just might be the perfect solution.

What do you think of thredUP?  Have you ever bought / sold anything with them?  If you are interested in trying or just want to learn more, click here.  And don’t forget to use code “THRED10” to save $10 off your first order!

Disclosure: I received a $20 credit to thredUP.com to spend on whatever I wished.  All opinions are my own and no compensation was received for this post!
