1. WB got a special little treat this week because he got to ride facing forward in the car! I’ve got to admit, it’s much easier to hand him things and see what’s going on back there, but I know rear-facing is safer, so I am having B switch him back. I have a feeling he’s going to be pissed.
2. Baxter and Buddy are sad they aren’t featured often on here, so they made me post this again. And to everyone that says they pose nicely, yes, they do! I used to get them to sit next to L when he was a baby so I could get pictures of the three of them, so they are totally used to it.
3. Last weekend when L was up-north we facetimed during breakfast. While I like Facetiming with L, I think it’s even better when him and WB facetime. WB so doesn’t get it, but smiles at L like crazy!
4. L has been all about climbing trees this summer and we only have this sad little tree in our front yard. B helped him in it the other day and L was sooo excited to find a bird’s nest in it!
5. My boys (all three of them) are such water kids. L has always been and now that WB is a tad older (he hated the pool last year) he’s so into it. I am still on this big life jacket hunt for WB and can’t find any in stores (clearly it’s not the right time to hunt for lifejackets) that I can try on him. The hunt continues.
6. The weather has been so amazing here this week that we have been taking full advantage of the patio and eating outside. Well maybe it was a little too chilly a few nights since I did need to put on a hoodie and we turned on the patio heater. But still, we are loving having a patio!
7. This picture cracks me up because B and I wonder why L gets out of and comes downstairs for various reasons. B and I were on the patio the other night when he came down, so he came outside and we all ran around the backyard and jumped on the trampoline for like 20 minutes. I’m pretty sure that’s why he gets out of bed and comes downstairs ;).
8. This is how posed pictures go these days. It used to be easier to “pose” them for a quick shot. Now WB wants no part of that!
9. This is from L’s trip fishing with B last night. They didn’t catch any fish, but word on the street is that L had a great time on the playground toys at the park they went to!
I love how WBs little bumm is coming out of his swimsuit. C doesn’t wear a life jacket yet but until this year N had one of those body suit devices that he wore. C actually does have one of those at my moms house. N is too big for that now so we got him a lifejacket to wear. He loves it and I’m not as worried when we are in the pool with everyone since he has it on.
L’s face when you were facetiming is too cute!
Have your tried the Puddle Jumper (instead of a life jacket) they sell them at Target and they are endorsed by the Coast Guard. And helps teach them how to swim! It keeps their body in the perfect position. Less bulky than a life jacket around their face as well but keeps the head up!
Ill tell you a secret….Alessio..is still rear facing 🙂 lol! Maybe for his third birthday in sept. he can turn around. He doesn’t complain so I haven’t moved him. I mean his seat his RF to 40lbs so I’m okay with that. I think the rule is 2 yes old so I guess I just never did it bc he was quiet! Idk lol either way, ppl are always shocked when they see.
Alessio is still rear facing 🙂 isn’t the age to turn them around 2 anyway? Alessio turned two and he seemed fine so I just said I’d switch him when I had too but he’s so quiet back there….I just haven’t! Ha! Maybe when he starts preschool this fall ill do switch…I mean he’s gonna be three in a month. Where did the time go?!
I have a Chicco Keyfit 30 (didn’t you win one of those?) and my 18 month old is still using it. He’s 24 pounds and probably won’t grow out of it before his second birthday. I am definitely getting my money’s worth with that car seat!
we’ve already turned my nephew Kayden front facing. in Georgia it’s at least 1 year old and 20 lbs or over. he loves it and it is much easier to reach back to him… lol
