My July Citrus Lane boxes started off so well this month. Like so well that I thought one of them should have been here yesterday. Well that box (which is WB’s box – a 16 month-old boy box) is now totally MIA. Luckily I get two Citrus Lane boxes each month (yeah I love them that much) and the second box – this one is for a 39 month-old boy) arrived today (along with 8 million other boxes that were being held against their will in USPS facility in IN). There is no rhyme or reason behind the age of the second box. It’s far enough away from WB’s age that we won’t get duplicates and that’s about it.

The Box

The July Citrus Lane box felt fairly heavy, which I like. Citrus Lane ships via USPS, but not via Priority Mail. The boxes used to come more quickly and then they changed their shipping method (from one USPS service to another) and things have slowed down. I don’t want to pay more for the boxes, so I’m not going to complain about the slowness of it. I just get antsy because I want my stuff!

First Look

I’d seen some spoilers this month, however, I wasn’t exactly sure what this box would include since I didn’t look at the age of the box until today. I did know that I would be happy with the box since I have pretty much liked everything in all the spoilers pictures I have seen.

The Information Card

Citus Lane has done away with themes, but they still seem to sort of have them? This July, Citrus Lane is sending essentials for playtime and picnicking outdoors from some of their favorite partners, Goodbyn and Episencial. They have also included an activity from Melissa and Doug for those rainy days and a way to capture and share your summer from with Postagram. Here’s what our box included:

~Bynto & Dishwasher-Safe Sticker Set from Goodbyn ($13): I actually just treaded some “Small Meal” Goodbyn containers I’d gotten months ago in a previous Citrus Lane because I never really reached for them. I use their “Snacks” ones often though and I plan to use this for L’s school lunches (if he’s okay with that) and / or days at the park.  Heck, I will probably just use it for L’s lunches at home too.  He loves when I put his food into special containers.   Cool containers make for good eating!  And I didn’t even know the stickers existed?  I will let L decorate this if he wants.  I kind of hope he doesn’t, but I am a bit OCD like that.

~Decorate-You-Own Race Car from Melissa & Doug ($5.02): I have bought the train version of these before for L and he always enjoys them.  I’ll either save this for WB or I will give it to L (this is what will likely happen) so he can enjoy it now.  He’s old enough that not only will he be able to paint and decorate the car, he’ll be able to assemble it too!

~Dried Fruits from Just Tomatoes ($1.25): WB loves these and will be quite happy to see them!  I don’t order kids / baby snacks online and I don’t know where they sell these locally, so it they will be a great treat!

~Cool It Buddy Instant Cold Pack from Me4Kidz ($2.99): We are huge fans of these types of ice packs and I was happy to see them in the box.  Special ice packs makes boo boos heal faster.  I believe it’s a scientific fact?  At least it is with L ;).

~Postagram from Sincerely, Inc. ($10 – 10 Postagrams): We got Postagrams from Citrus Lane last summer as well (and from PopSugar last summer too) and sadly I never sent them all.  I am SO sending these though because they are really cool.  Between my mom, B’s mom and my Grandma, I am sure I can blow through these in no time!

All totaled I came up with a value of $32.26 for the July Citrus Lane box (I use street values not MSRP’s)!  This is one of my favorite recent boxes from them and I will use everything in it without question.  Boxes start at $25/month and I will also do a post when I get my 2nd Citrus Lane box (which is WB’s actual box) in case you want to know what comes in the 16-month old box!

They sell freeze dried strawberries/blueberries/raspberries at Trader Joes in the nut aisle! I can’t tell the difference between those and the TJ’s ones.

I got my box today too. I have C aged up so he gets a 33mo box. We got the lacing boards. I think they may be the same ones that we have at my moms but I’ll have to ask. They will make a great gift for one of my nieces so excited to get them.

Great box I should really get this for my daughter! If you go to the Just Tomatoes site they have a tab that you can see where they sell them in your area, the sell them in produce stores here in washington!

I got my 15 month old girl box and we got: the Postagram coupon, the ice packs, a snack holder, Melissa and Doug puzzle, and Ella’s kitchen cookies. One of my favorite citrus lane boxes.

They sell large cans of freeze-dried strawberries at Walmart. About $17 for 6.4 oz. They are great with cereal.

I would love to do this for my 16 month old son. Is it easy to cancel if I should chose to do so? That is why I am hestiate.I don’t want to get locked in at $25/month and end up not liking it.
