Dottiebox, LLC is a fairly new subscription box that introduces you to artists you may not have heard about otherwise.  The handmade items which may be included in a box come from a wide variety of catagories including skincare, cosmetics, jewelry, etc.  If it’s handmade, it could be included.

The Box

Like last month, I skipped the outer packaging picture, but Dottiebox ships via USPS in a padded envelope.  And the inner box is tied all cute with a string, as usual.

I never know what to expect with Dottiebox (you really could get anything), so I am always anxious to open it and see what’s included!  I also love checking out the packaging that the sellers use for their products!  They are always cute and make me wonder what I’d use if I had a business.

The Information Card

As always I love the information card and find them even more enjoyable when they list the prices for me!  Did I mention that I organized by information cards by company a few weeks ago.  For what I don’t know, but I was happy about it.

~Aqua Blossom Body Polish ($7): It was a battle to open this, but once I finally got it, I was very impressed! It’s a soft polish (not all gritty) and smells wonderful. I would describe the scent (Sunshine State) as a light citrus. Not too strong not too dull. It’s perfect!

~Katie Vaz Hand Drawn Paper Goods ($4): I always say I am going to buy fancy notecards, but I never actually get around to doing it! This shop has so many cute designs and I will have to add it to my Etsy favorites list (which is super long because I basically love all things Etsy).

~The Little Flower Soap Co. Bath Salts ($3.50): This smells amazing!  It’s in a super cute little glass container, which of course I have already dropped and broke.  OOPS.  Luckily only a few crystals spilled out so I can still use it!  I am sure that B will get to it first though since he takes way more baths than I do.

~Herbolution Organic Facial Mask ($2): I haven’t used this yet, but I can’t wait.  I never buy facial masks and kind of just hope that they appear in subscription boxes and they usually do.  This doesn’t smell like much, but I am hoping for greatness from it.

~Live Beautifully All Natural Body Products Whipped Lip Butter (Strawberry Shortcake) ($5): I opened this and tested it out right away and it smells delicious.  Like I want to lick it all off delicious.  It’s thinner than my normal lip balms, but makes my lips feel very smooth and I really like it.

~Rivet & Sway Coupon: The box also included a $50 coupon code (JoyofSpecs) to Rivet & Sway.  They offer all frames for $199 and let you try 3 out at home for free so you can pick the one that works best for you.  I didn’t look into it in too much detail, but it appears that price includes the prescription lenses as well.  If so, that is a deal!  Before I had Lasik, I used to pay upwards of $300 for glasses (my insurance never covered anything good either).

All totaled, the July Dottiebox had a value of $21.50.  Boxes are $20/month ($26/month including shipping), but if you included shipping for all these items, I am guessing it’d be over $26!
