~We had a fun (and hot) weekend here and thanks (not really but we’re making the best of it) to the furlough, the fun will continue today. On Saturday we went to our local Metropark so the big boys (B and L) could fish. WB and I went for a LONG walk (like 6 miles long) while they fished and then we hit up the beach after. L had such a good time that we have plans to go back there later today (but not before I hit up the casino with my mom). We also hit up the fountains / splash pad at the mall and ran into some sidewalk sales which we had to take advantage of.
~OMG, this is going to be a crazy subscription box week. I am expecting Birchbox, Bespoke Post, Love With Food, Citrus Lane, Kiwi Crate, For the Makers, Sock Panda, The Little Book Club and ipsy. And those are only the ones I *know* about. Who knows what else will appear?? Pus, I am still behind on some reviews for boxes I received last week.
~B and I are on Day 23 of the Challenge, which means tomorrow is our last day!!!! I am so happy we stuck with it and am hoping for an overall weight loss of around 15lbs. It hasn’t been as hard as I expected it to be, but I also knew what I was in for and was totally ready to get started. And we have decided what our special meal with be! It’s a local BBQ place that we love. I cannot wait.
~Umm, please tell me other people are still watching Big Brother. OMG. These idiots! Aaryn? GinaMarie? Oh my. Offensive much? I cannot wait to see what happens when they leave the house and find out that, umm, they have no jobs to go back to and that yeah, America pretty much hates you.
~I mentioned it once before, but I am thinking about doing a giveaway with random items I have received from subscription boxes that are cool, but I don’t know what to do with. Examples would be headphones from the Fancy boxes, workout dvds, etc. I get a lot of stuff and often do pass along things that are a better fit for someone else, so I thought this might be fun! Would there be any interest in this? I would probably just make it a mystery giveaway and kind of tailor the items to the winner (i.e. if I guy wins I wouldn’t send him black eyeliner – unless he wants it of course). Thoughts?
~I was so busy working on the my Cruise Review post (OMG it’s so long) that I didn’t get a chance to do a newsletter last night! I’ll do a longer one next week. But I won’t make you wait to see who won the Dallas Shaw GLOSSYBOX… It was Kyra M! Congrats! I will be e-mailing you soon!
