Today I’m smiling because:
~L is having an amazing time up-north and has been playing in the lake, crafting and he even went to the movies where he won the crane game! That’s two crane game wins for L this week (he won a stuffed mouse at the grocery store earlier in the week). He’s amazing!
~I plan to get caught up on a ton of things this weekend including blog stuff, reviews (I am so behind), cleaning out the kid’s closets and my sleep!
~WB and I braved the mall and the Apple store yesterday, without a stroller. I knew my car didn’t have a stroller in it and I KNEW I needed to run a few errands and visit the Genius Bar, but for some reason I thought it’d be easier to carry WB around than it would be to load the stroller in my car (that would have taken 2 minutes). I blame it on the heat. But happily we survived and WB got a little ice cream out of the deal. Oh and I also got a new iPod for my cousin (aka L’s up-north BFF) from the Genius Bar dudes who basically had destroyed his.
~The Target Summer Clearance should be hitting 70% off today or tomorrow and I am ready! It’s game time.
~The looks on the people’s faces when they find out Chris Hansen from Dateline has just found them out always makes me smile. I actually think one guy from last night, the ticket scammer guy, was excited about it.
~GAP Online is having an insane sale (40% off all sale items with the code “GAPSALE) and ebates has 2% cash back on top of that. I mean 2% isn’t much, but it makes cheap cheaper and I love it. I stocked up on summer stuff for L for next year and a few things for this fall for both kids. It’s 40% off sale stuff in stores too, but I found the online section better for once. And more things were on sale. However, I am also smiling because B bought some shorts over the weekend for $24.99. Umm, those same shorts are now $10 and they happily price adjusted it for me in store yesterday. Woot woot!
~The weather has finally cooled down and it’s enjoyable to spend time outside again!

I went this morning to Target. I thought for sure it would have gone, but it did not. Still 50%. I was checking tags and the summer tags on the picnic, patio dinnerware is the same orange tag as what is in the housewares summer dinnerware but it is not part of the clearance. Usually I am a guru at knowing this stuff, but do you know what the difference in the tags is or is it going to be a scanning frenzy to find the deals in the regular section?
