August The Bride Box

The Bride Box is a monthly subscription box filled with fun full-sized gifts, samples, and more catered specifically to brides. I mention it every month, but I am not a bride.  However, I enjoy all sorts of boxes and The Bride Box is no exception.

The Box

The Bride Box ships via USPS Priority Mail from Florida and took the promised two days to arrive.  I feel like USPS is speeding up deliveries these past few months.  Even Media Mail is coming quite quickly.

First Look

I wasn’t sure what the theme was by the first look, but I did now I wanted to dig in and see more.

The Information Card

The August The Bride Box theme was “Beautify You” and included items to help you get that perfect wedding day look.

~Hearts ($15 Gift Certificate): Hearts is a fashion movement which was started to create awareness, progress and world change.  I did a little browsing online and saw a few things I thought were really cute.  I’m not going to include the code in the total value of the box since you have to spend money to use it.

Hearts

~Zosimos Botanicals ($8): I think that this mini lip gloss is the cutest thing ever.  The color is great and it went on shockingly smooth.  The mineral eye shadow is purple and I haven’t tried it yet, but the lip gloss is a win.

Zosimos Botanicals

~Tucker Hill Bubble Bath ($1.65): This bubble bath was included to help you kick back and relax during the hectic wedding planning days.  It smells great an promises tons of bubbles.

Revision Skincare Intellishade ($4): I don’t know how one shade works for everyone, but it did work for me.  It seemed a little thick compared to the BB creams I have been using, so next time I try this I plan to mix it with a little moisturizer.

~Willow Tree Minerals Flawless Finishing Veil ($11.95): I’m not 100% sure what size this is, so I am going with a 10 gram jar.  You apply this after your make-up is completed and it minimizes  pores & shine, & sets your makeup.  I can’t wait to give this a try and see how it worls.

~Apothederm Anti-Aging Kit (~$60): This kit includes Youthful Hydration Cream, Firming Serum and Hydrating Eye Cream.  Everything looks amazing and while I don’t have a wedding day to glow for, I wouldn’t mind just glowing in general!

Apothederm Anti-Aging Kit

~Noell Desiree Earrings ($16): These are custom earrings made by one of the Bride Box creators.  She can make custom pieces for you and your wedding party and will work with you side by side to make sure it’s exactly what you want!

All totaled I came up with a value of $101.60 for the August The Bride Box (which is well over the $35/month cost of the box)!  I didn’t love this month as much as last month’s The Bride Box, however, it is hard to compete with a Bachelorette Party in a box ;).
