August Juniper Review
August Juniper Review

Juniper recently asked me if I wanted to check out one of their boxes and happily, it arrived yesterday. Juniper is a tampons and treats subscription aimed at redefining the monthly period experience for women.

First Look

Juniper ships via USPS Priority Mail and arrives monthly bases on the cycle length you note when you sign up.  If you need to change it, you can easily text them to do so.  Oh, and I had a picture of the outer box (it’s plain white and no one would be able to guess what’s inside), but I went on this crazy iPhoto clean out and it’s gone.

Second First Look

I loved how neatly everything was packaged.  It looked like someone took a great deal of time to put this together and I appreciate that.

The Information Card

The August 2013 Juniper theme was “Keep it fun, mix it up” and the information card includes information on each of the “treat” items in the box.  The hearts next to the product names denote that it is a woman-started company, which I thought was great.  Here’s what the box included:

~The Supplies: Juniper supplies mainly tampons (you can select from various brands they offer), but includes backup maxi pads, overnight maxi pads, and pantyliners as requested.  They also include instructions and details on TSS, which would be great for someone just starting out.

The Supplies

~Golden Earth Neroli Body Wash: Not my favorite scent, but it’s a new to me brands, so I that is always exciting!

~Nature’s Kick Honey Sticks: I’m not sure I knew that these came in different flavors, but L is going to love it!

~Numi Teas: By law, you must include tea in all time of the month boxes ;).  I do like that these are not specifically for women, so B will happily take them to work.

Numi Teas

~Donsuemor Chocolate Madeleines: I haven’t broken into these yet, but OMG they look delicious!!  I can’t wait to try!

~479 Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn: I have had this before and it’s always a welcome subscription box item! I don’t buy it, but when it comes I am happy!

~Nunes Farm Pistachios: I love that Juniper covered all the bases here!  Salty, sweet, you name it, they’d name you covered.  Again this is going to be a B item and I know he’ll be happy!

~Midol: Pain relievers are an optional item, but of course I said I wanted them!

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but Juniper (which is $28/month) also doesn’t bill itself as offering a cost savings.  They are a service to help pamper you during your time of the month which they totally do!
