August 2013 Love With Food

Like most of my other boxes, my August Love With Food box took ages to arrive this month. I don’t know what the deal was, but I was happy to see it in my mailbox yesterday. I think it’s

The Box

Love With Food ships via USPS and took nine days to get to me from GA.  I have a higher tolerance for their slow shipping though because they donates a meal to hungry child in the U.S. for every box purchased.

First Look

I had seen some boxes on Instagram and they looked great so I was extra excited to get mine.  My box didn’t have an information card (BOO), but the August theme was “Backyard BBQ” and included treats to help you “chill while you grill”.

~Sea Salt Potato Crisps (BOPS) from Good Boy Organics: I tried these right away and thought they were fairly similar to ruffles.  I mean they weren’t exactly the same, but for a backed chip, they were pretty darn good.

~Sahale Crunchers (Cranberries, Sesame Seed & Honey):  I actually already bought more of these because they are so good.  They are a perfect little grab and go snack.

~Rip van Wafels Caramel Filled Amsterdam Waffles: It’s suggested you try these over a hot drink to kind of warm them up and melt the caramel I guess, but B and I couldn’t wait to try them.  We agreed that they were yummy, but we couldn’t taste a ton of caramel.  Hopefully these will appear again somewhere and we can have them over a hot drink!

~Aunt Sally’s Original Creamy Pralines: B ate this one as soon as I finished opening the box and the small taste of it I got was very very good.  If I am ever in New Orleans, I hope to go to see Aunt Sally and try them warm.

~El Pinto All Natural Medium Salsa: My goodness do I love chips and salsa.  I am saving this for a special treat one night when B is at school next week and I can’t wait!

~Snapea Crisps Harvest Snaps: I recently bought these at the grocery store and was surprised how good they are.  I think next time I want to try the ranch ones!

~Project 7 Mints: I received these in a PopSugar box a few months ago and enjoyed them then, so now is no different.  I love the cause (they give back to help in various areas around the globe) and think the product is great.

~All Natural Spice Rub from Dizzy Pig:  We haven’t tried this yet, but after reading about it, B asked me to order a big container ;).  We’ve been all about BBQ these past few months and this will be awesome to sample!
