Birchbox Head of the Class
Birchbox Head of the Class Limited Edition

I was *this close* to pulling the trigger on the Birchbox Head of the Class limited edition box the day it was realized, and then I got distracted and hadn’t gotten back around to it yet. So when Birchbox asked me if I wanted to review a box, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. Yes yes yes!!!

The Adorable Box
First Look

The Birchbox Head of the Class box is the first Birchbox designed specifically with teens (or those who are young at heart) in mind. If Birchbox ever did a monthly subscription for teens, I’d be first on the list to subscribe.  How cool would that be?  Please Birchbox, please!  A monthly Teen box and a monthly Home box would be amazing!

The Information Card

Here’s what the box includes:

~stila lip glaze (Dreamy) ($13.75):  I love stila lip glaze!  It’s been around for ages, yet is something I still love now as much as I did them.  Dreamy (which is described as “creamy, beige amaretto with subtle shimmer”) is a fabulous color and is going right in my bag!

~Sisco & Berluti Friendship Bracelets (Set of Two) ($15): These must be the modern day version of best friends charm necklaces (which I loved).  You keep one and give the other one to a friend. Who wouldn’t love a hot pink bracelet from one of their BFF’s?

~Poppin Pink Small Soft Cover Notebook ($6): I have found myself using little notebooks more and more.   I try to have one next to me when I am on the computer so I can write down notes on sales or new boxes or whatever, so this will come in handy.  And of course, it doesn’t hurt that it’s pink.

~Color Club® Nail Polish in Flamingo ($8): This is a great color and will probably be replacing my current teal glitter combo I have going on.  I may or may not do a glitter coat over it because I think it would look great both ways.

~Color Club® Nail Polish in Silver Lake ($8): I don’t believe I have any silver polishes like this (do I?) which makes me happy.  I’ve always loved the Color Club formulas and think that this color will make a great one to use the sequins with!

~Color Club® Sequin Nail Art Kit ($4): After reading the directions on these, I feel like it’s something even I could handle.    You just roll your still wet nails in the sequins and you’re done.  Or you can apply them with a tweezers, which sounds good, but I also know I’d be bored with it in like two seconds.

~Jane Tran Chrysanthemum Print Bobby Pin Set ($12): I have other cute bobby pins that I don’t end up using a ton, so I may end up passing these along to someone who will use them more.

~Birchbox Custom Pouch ($12): I saw this in the Birchbox store before I saw the Head of the Class box and I knew that I had to have it.  I don’t know what it is about chevron, but I can’t get enough.

~willa® Start Fresh Foaming Face Wash ($3.67): I love this! It smells amazing and I tested it out right away.  While I think it’s for teens, I might have to get a full size bottle because it’s that good!

All totaled I came up with a value of $82.51 for the box.  It’s a great deal considering that the box itself is only $28!  This would make an awesome back to school gift for the high school / college students in your life.  I mean, what teenager wouldn’t enjoy this box of goodies?

If you are interested in signing up, click here.  Don’t wait too long because I am guessing this box will sell out like the CEW ones did!  And don’t forget to check out the Birchbox Bonus Shop to snag a Pick Two Sample Pack with your order ($35+). Oh and coupon code “7TEEN15” will also save you 15% on your order of $35+.

Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. As always, all opinions are my own (we all know I would have bought this anyway) and no compensation was received. This post does, however, contain affiliate links!
