Autumn's Yuzen
Autumn’s Yuzen

Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season. Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Boxes used to be $26/quarter, but recently increased to $33/quarter.  They doesn’t aim to be the biggest subscription box out there (in fact they limit the number of subscriptions and have a waiting list), their mission is (and always has been) to provide carefully chosen, high quality, nourishing products.

The Box

Yuzen used to ship in a USPS envelope, but switched things up this season.  They still ship  via Priority Mail, but they now ship in a box.  And let me tell you, I have been stalking this since I got the shipping notification on Tuesday for it.  Receiving it today totally made up for not receiving PopSugar!

The Box in the Box

I am loving these new Yuzen boxes!  I don’t know why they switched to a box in a box, but I do love these.

First Look
The Items

Happily Yuzen still uses their beautiful papers and packages everything in a pretty bag.  It really is like getting a present in the mail.  Of all the boxes out there, I rarely (if ever) hear any complaints about Yuzen.  They are very proud of their boxes and you can tell!

The Information Card

The Yuzen information card contains information about each of the products in the box, as well as, well it was chosen to be included in the box by Yuzen. The card also contains coupon codes and details on where you can purchase each of the products.  Autumn’s Yuzen seeks to remind you of Mother Nature’s coming transition and also serves as a gentle reminder to check in, rebalance and prepare for what’s ahead.  Here’s what the box included:

~Acure Argan Cell Stimulating Body Wash ($2): OMG this smells insane.  It’s a familiar scent, but I can’t place it.  It’s made from 100% plant and plant-derived natural ingredients and I already want to get the full size.  Love!

~Ajara Ayurvedic Beauty Tea Bath Sachet ($4): All these bath products are put to good use by B and this is going in his bin.  You open up this package and drop the inner sachet in the tub, so I don’t want to open it until B’s ready for it.

~Coola Mineral Facial Sunscreen ($5.04): Coola isn’t my favorite tinted moisturizer, but I do like it and will totally use it.  I haven’t tried much from this line, but I think they are going to be on Haute Look (or might even be right now) soon, so I need to check it out and see what else they have.

~Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive ($4.88): EEK! I love Juice Beauty and I have never tried the green apple peel.  It’s an exfoliating treatment that brightens, evens skin tone and minimizes fine lines.  I have loved everything I have ever tried from Juice Beauty and plan on using this tonight!

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive

~Sanitas Vita-Rich Serum ($27): I’ve never heard of this brand before, but this product is suppose to deliver pure, active nutrients, deep into skin tissue to moisturize and promote  a healthier appearance.  I put this on right away and liked the way it absorbed.  It didn’t make me feel all greasy!

Sanitas Vita-Rich Serum

~Sphatika Rose Cleansing Foam ($14.67): This isn’t my favorite scent, but I seem to have a million moisturizers and not very mean cleansers, so I’ll use it.  And I so love the packaging, so that’s always a plus!

~Torie & Howard Blood Orange and Honey Hard Candy ($4.99): Oh my goodness I love these.  I don’t know what else to tell you other than to suggest you buy some!  Now!!!

Torie & Howard Blood Orange and Honey Hard Candy

~Verve Organics Soul Sister Lavender Nut Sugar Scrub ($4): This smells very spa-like and I am going to use it as soon as I use up my homemade body scrub.  How often are you suppose to use a scrub like this?  Daily?  Do you use scrub and body wash together?  Please enlighten me because I always wonder.

I totaled, I came up with a value of $66.58 for the autumn (fall) Yuzen box.  Yuzen is one of my favorite boxes and they never disappoint!  I love that they are quarterly because it gets me time to use everything up and get excited for the what’s coming in the next quarter!

Did you get a Autumn Yuzen box? What did you think? If you are interested in getting on their waiting or just want to learn more, click here.  They also have a Yuzen Favorites Box (select the gift option instead of the subscribe option) for $29 which is currently available if you just can’t wait to get your hands on a Yuzen box.  I would totally recommend it!!
