~How on earth is it already Monday? That came way too fast! We had a great weekend though, which included fro-yo to celebrate a successful first week of school, going out to breakfast (we haven’t done this in ages), L’s Back to School Bash, a trip to the Cider Mill (and petting farm) for L with his Nana & Papa and a trip to a local church festival (WB stayed at Nana & Papa’s for this). This festival is an annual fall tradition in my area and we try to never miss it. Before I met B (and then before B and I had L), we’d go to the Vegas tent and beer tent, but now it’s all about the carnival rides and games! It’s still fun, but in a different way ;).
~We won (another) fish at the festival this weekend and happened to run into an old friend there (#highschoolreunion) who gave L his FOUR fish (clearly his kids do not like fish like mine does). That brings our fish count to, umm, 9? No, wait, 10 since we still have “Gungo” our Beta fish. L and WB both love checking out the fish tank, so what’s 5 more?
~I have SO MANY subscription boxes coming this week. The ones I expecting include GLOSSYBOX Best of Britain, Mama’s Got Mail, PopSugar Fall Style Must Have Box (you can see SPOILERS for this here), Lip Factory, Birchbox, Bijoux Box, Plated and Made in Michigan Box. And I am behind on a few box reviews including Carefree Crafts, Crafter’s Crate and PixieBar. I am also expecting orders from thredUP, Moxie Jean and Zulily. And fingers crossed for my Haute Look order to ship! It’s going to be such a fun week around here!
~Instead of going grocery shopping last night (which now has to happen this morning), I spent my evening working on L’s “All About Me” collage. He cut out all the pictures from magazines for it, but I needed to get actual pictures ordered and printed. I should be used to these projects since I’ve done them every year for, oh, the past 4 years or so (daycare and then preschool), but I never am. Does anyone print pictures for albums anymore? Not photobooks. Actual albums with pictures in it? Thank goodness I live near 8 million drug stores that print photos in less than an hour.
~I redeemed the Martha Stewart Living subscription that came with the Martha Stewart Living Essentials GLOSSYBOX a few weeks ago. And guess what I got in the mail on Saturday? A bill for $24 for MSL. Grrrr. I called right away and the customer service lady looked it all up in her computer said she could “offer me” the free 6-month subscription that came with the box instead of having me pay the bill. Umm, yes, that’d what I’d like. I guess they included the incorrect cards in the GLOSSYBOX boxes? Whatever. It’s all settled now!
~I watched Big Brother last night (who do you think is going home), but haven’t gotten a chance to watch last night’s Breaking Bad (was it good??). I also got a chance to catch up on a few Challenge Rivals 2 episodes and my CT love continues. In other tv news, it appears that the season premier of Homeland has been leaked on the Internet! I can’t decided if I want to wait and watch in a few weeks or watch NOW.
