The furries September BarkBox arrived a few days ago (during one of my crazy mail days) and the furries were SO excited! Okay, fine. They actually had no idea that any of the box were for them. They just like when the mail lady knocks on the door. And OMG if they actually get to talk to her? They go crazy!
Barkbox ships via DHL Global Mail and took, goodness only 3 days to get to me (NY to MI) once it was actually picked up from BarkBox! It was impressive and gives me hope for DHL to improve their shipping times.
Ohh, I was loving the first look! I saw a bunch of things that, well, I’d never seen before! I love discovering new problems so when I see a box full of “new stuff” I am a happy girl.
The September Barkbox is inspired by back to school and included toys to get the mind stimulated, chews to keep occupied, yummies inspired by the cafeteria lunches and even first aid goods for boo-boos on the playground (okay dog park). I also received a little card that said that I did not receive everything on the information card and got something else my dog would enjoy. Baxter and Buddy don’t mind, so neither did I.
~Wagatha’s Organic Dog Biscuits ($5.48): Is it wrong to admit that I am DYING to try these? I’m not going to of course, but do they really taste like pizza? It’s not like Baxter and Buddy are going to tell me! I’ll actually probably give these to my brothers dogs (he now has 3) because my furries prefer soft little treats.
~It’s Purely Natural Dog Treats ($3.60): This is the item that is not on my information card. I consider these to be more of a chew than just a treat because it takes my dogs so long to eat them!
~VetraCare Pet Liquid Bandage ($7.99): Ohh, I can think of a handful of recent occasions we could have totally used this! It’s not like you can just stick a bandaid on a dog so you basically have to hold something to it to until it stops. I think we’ve used vaseline too? Either way, this is better!
~Aussie Naturals Floppie Koala ($7.99): This.is.perfect! WB and Buddy (he’s the dark brown dog) love to play tug of war and this is perfect for them. It’s soft enough for WB to hold, but also strong enough (it’s got a rope toy inside instead of stuffing) for them to be rough with. Love it!!
All totaled, the September BarkBox has an estimated value of $25.06. It was more than the monthly cost of the box (which again is $18/month if you subscribe for 6 months or more), but wasn’t the most “valuable” box to date. Do you subscribe to Barkbox? I have 3 dachshunds (15, 3, and 7 months) and I probably do not need to say they love treats. I am very restrictive with the quality and quantity to avoid them becoming the size of mobile ottomans. My BarkBox differed slightly from yours; I did get the duck treats by Plato which I like and have purchased in the past. However, I would have liked the “biscotti” since that is a new product to me. The toys included each month are always the 2 younger boys’ favorite; ours was a Tasmanian devil. The “band-aid in a spray” would have been useful last month when the two younger boys had a bit (bite?) of a disagreement resulting in the puppy with small notch missed from his ear. Opportunity for new nickname for him: “Nick”.
My Maltese pup Leo would love toys like that when he’s alone during the weekdays.

We have a Chocolate Lab named Mocha Bean! Her favorite delivery person is the UPS man – she once jumped in his truck and expected a ride around the neighborhood! Of course it didn’t happen but it was funny to see her sitting in the truck!

My yellow lab absolutely loves BarkBox, but we just ended our subscription to gauge if it was fiscally responsible. 😉 We’ve been with them since the beginning, so it was heartbreaking to stop for a while.
I have an old-english bulldog who would LOVE this!! I actually got Barkbox this month for him and he absolutely loved it! He even played with the cardboard box it came in for a whole afternoon (I think it smelled like the pizza treats?). We got this really cute rope turtle that is SO durable and perfect for him because he tears things up. I loved getting this for him but unfortunately don’t think I cant really commit to this monthly right now. I wish you could get it less often! Anyways TANK would love to win a few more months 🙂

I always have an assortment.lol I tend to get a different breed every time I get a new dog. At one point I had five but two have passed in the last two years.(16yrs & 11yrs) I currently have a Great Dane-Hobbs 7yrs, a Dachshund-Weasel 8yrs and a Pomeranian-Juniper Lee 6yrs. I’m especially attached to my pom Juni he came at a tough time for me. We’ve done all kinds a fun things together like obedience and rally. Definitely a great gift from my hubby. 🙂
