MakrBox, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly box of incredibly useful and uniquely fun household products created by talented makers, craftsmen and designers. It’s $29/month (+shipping) and includes two or three household products with WOW factor!
MakrBox ships via USPS and arrived quite quickly! I’d never seen a MakrBox before, so I couldn’t wait to open it up and check it out. I’m excited about ALL the boxes I receive (no seriously I am), but new (or at least new to me) boxes are always extra exciting.
MakrBox uses the COOLEST packaging materials! It took me a second to realize that they weren’t actually the items we were receiving!
The September MakrBox contained a fabulous information card which includes details on the “makers” included in the box. I should also mention that if you aren’t happy with one of the items in the box, they want you to contact them so that they can get you something you do like!
~Big Spoon Jam (foragers preserves) ($7.50): Big Spoon Jam uses farm-fresh fruits from the Northwest to create her delicious jams in small batches. The flavor (is that the right word for it) is “foragers preserve” and is described as a taste of the forest. And yes, it’s way better than regular jam that comes in those little packets at your local diner.
~Pigeon Toe Ceramics (Stacking Thimble Cups) ($21): All items from Pigeon Toe Ceramics are made to order and take a few weeks to arrive. These cups are unbelievably gorgeous and I know for sure that I am leaving one next to the kitchen sink so that B and I can throw our rings in there when we’re cooking (okay fine, I don’t cook, I just do the dishes). My pictures just don’t do these justice. Amazing.
All totaled I came up with a value of $28.50 for the September MakrBox. Just shy of the $29/month (+ shipping) cost of the box, however, I’m guessing that if you added in shipping costs, you’d be right there at the box cost. Plus, you get to discover new makers to fall in love with that you’d never hear of otherwise!

Love Pigeon Toe, they make such beautiful products. This looks like a really nice box!
I love Big Spoon Jam. Got some in a food package a while back and keep hoping someone sends me more (would help if I would subscribe to a food subscription box though wouldn’t it lol).
