As usual, I am stealing Jen’s Sunday Sentiments button and idea and making it mine tonight. I “know” Jen, and she knows I do it, so it’s not exactly stealing. But then again, it’s not a link up either ;).
~I mentioned it yesterday, but L went up-north this weekend so it was just B, WB and I here. Poor WB was forced not only to stroll leisurely around our local outdoor mall (it was so amazing here yesterday), but was also forced to go out to eat at some Asian Fusion place (it was very Pei Wei like but not as good) B and I have been wanting to try. And then, lucky WB got to go to TARGET! I don’t know who was more excited to see L today, us or him ;).
~While at the mall we went in Sur La Table to browse (I love that store) and I realized it was a subscription box lovers dream. They carry so many products I have received in subscription boxes. It’s unreal. We saw: Alaskan Sea Salt (Mantry), Corkcicle (Fancy), Chillsner (Fancy), King Cube Tray (PopSugar), Bodum Mugs (which I picked up for my giveaway) (PopSugar), Sir Kensington’s Ketchup (Bespoke & Mantry), Compagne de Provence Liquid Hand Soap (PopSugar Luxury Edition) and so many more. We were cracking up. And we spent SO long in there!
~I’ve been on the hunt for more silicone cupcake molds for weeks now. I got a few huge ones in the dollar spot at Target, but couldn’t find any normal or mini sized ones anywhere. Why are these so hard to find? I finally had to place an order on Amazon and they arrived yesterday. Lunches this week are going to be even more fun to make.
~So I, oops, I mean L and I have to make a book box which is due tomorrow. It’s supposed to be decorated all cool and you have to carry it back and forth to school from time to time. I bought I plastic box because I feared that a cardboard shoe box would turn into a mess by the end of the year, but now I’m stumped. What do I decorate this thing with? I can’t use markers or crayons. Are stickers my only option?
~Birchbox had an event in NYC this weekend called “Birchbox Local”. It was a Pop-Up Shop and you could build your own Birchbox for $15, get services done, etc.. I was dying to check it out but obviously I live way too far, so my cousin (who lives in the City) went and checked it out for me. She said it was super cute and liked building her box. How fun would be building your own BB be a monthly basis? Come to Detroit Birchbox!!!!
~Has anyone gone to check out the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection yet? What’d you pick up? I totally spaced and forgot it was available today! By the time I checked online the “Tote with Gusset – Black” was sold out ;(. BOO. So we ran to Target and luckily my Target still had some! Woot woot! It reminds me of the Celine Luggage Tote which I have been lusting after for years. I am still debating the yellow mini crossbody. Decisions, decisions.
~I also went crazy yesterday at B&BW. I don’t have a haul picture, but imagine a zillion 3-wick candles (they are $11/each right now) and wallflower bulbs (they were $3/each yesterday). And then I had a 20% off coupon on top of that. I always feel like I robbed the place after I leave B&BW.
~Is anyone else as excited as I am for Breaking Bad tonight? What’s going to happen??? I can’t watch it till tomorrow (#nocable), but I want to know so badly what’s going on that I may have to hunt down some spoilers.
