Guess what’s here?? My Fall fabfitfun box!!!! The folks over at fabfitfun asked if I’d want to review a box and of course I said yes! The box I ordered is still making it’s way to me and should be here soon as well 😉 (*).
In case you don’t know, fabfitfun is a quarterly monthly subscription box that includes hand-selected items (the “hottest of the season”) in beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness from Giuliana and the fabfitfun team. fabfitfun is $49.99/quarter and this box is their third one.
From the sounds of it (on Facebook), those spoilers we got earlier in the week from OK Magazine shouldn’t have been leaked by them. I guess fabfitfun said something got mixed up with dates or something and it got released before it should have been? They also mentioned the shipping delays were caused by a vendor who didn’t meet their deadline. That’s what I got out of the posts. No one likes late shipping for any reason, so hopefully they can work this out! But the best part is that all the spoilers weren’t exactly spot on, so there were still some surprises.
fabfitfun does a different type of information card with each box it seems. This one is my favorite because it’s big and easy to read. And includes lots of information. Here’s what the Fall fabfitfun box contained:
~Gorjana Canary Scarf ($57): This scarf is darker than I was expecting, but that’s not a bad thing I suppose. It’s perfect for fall (and winter and spring) and is just as soft (but maybe a little thinner) I was hoping for. I am totally packing this for Chicago!!! Also, the box included a $25 off coupon code for your next purchase at G+G. Does anyone know if these can be stacked???
~Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Cleansing Foam ($28): This was missing from my box (BOO), but I contacted FFF and it’s on it’s way. I received a lot of facial scrubs and lotions, but for some reason, not a lot of cleansers. I don’t know why? I LOVE the Bliss line, but sadly haven’t bought anything from them in ages. I was super excited to see this as a box spoiler a while back. Between the scarf and this (well when it comes), my box was made. The rest is just the icing on the cake.
~Barre3 Standing Slim Workout DVD (& online program) ($19.95): I am usually not a fan of workout DVD’s, but I am oddly attracted to this. I’ve heard so much about Barre, but I would be scared to just walk into a class all clueless.
~Starlooks 5 Shade Shadow Palette (Ibiza) ($41): First of all I had no clue Starlooks was so expensive! Wow! I am going to put this in my gift pile because I just got the Stila Palette in my Fall PopSugar Box. The palette looks great and I do love the colors, but I can only use SO much shadow up myself. I would have loved to see something different. Not sure what though? Just something else.
~Orville Redenbacher Gourmet Naturals Popcorn (~$2): I’m not overly excited about PopCorn, but it’ll get eaten. B and I are always watching movies on the weekend and next time I’ll make him a big bowl of this popcorn and try to charge him $10 for it and it’ll be just like at the movies.
~Mini Game Packs (~$1): These are a mini little set of cards from the games “Loaded Questions” and “Awkward Family Photos” and are fun if you have a few minutes, but not a ton of time to play a game. Maybe throw them in your bag next time you go to dinner and bring them out while you wait for your food instead of playing on your phone? That’s what B and I should do anyway!
~Surface Trinity Protein Cream ($24): I have never heard of this before, which as you all know is why I love subscription boxes so much! It’s suppose to “smooth and repair the cuticle while stenthening hairs”. I am using up some other hair products right now so I won’t fully test this for a while, but I sprayed it real quick and it tamed my (dry) frizzy hair quite well. It didn’t leave it all crusty and still either (you know what I mean) and it smells good.
~SpaRitual Lacquer (Illume) ($12): Love this color and SpaRitual is a great brand that I don’t have a ton of. I don’t know how many different shades they sent out (the information card described the polishes as “rich” and “beautiful” which makes me think they will be deep colors, but I like this purple I got.
~Heath Warrior Chia Bar (Acia Berry) ($1.56): Totally a B item. I find these bars kind of scary and like to see what B thinks before I try it. I’ll throw it in our bag for the weekend and it will make a good road trip snack!
~Drinkwel Capsules ($2.95): B has tried these before and I’m not totally sure if we ever reached a verdict on their usefulness? I don’t drink a ton, but I’ll give them to B next time he heads out on the town.
~Bright Pink’s Brighten UP Card and Alert Sticker: This is obviously a cause close to Guiliana’s heart, so she’s included a tri-fold card with “5 ways to be bright pink” and “5 questions every young woman should ask her doctor”. Wouldn’t hurt to leave this in your bag and pull it out at your next appointment!
All totaled I came up with a value of $189.46 for the Fall fabfitfun Box! The box itself is $49.99/quarter and I think it’s getting better every quarter. They still have some kinks (billing & shipping) to work out for sure, but fingers crossed it’s all set by winter! I LOVE that everyone is getting the same boxes now, unlike the Spring boxes when some people got fabulous ones and some people didn’t. I also have a thing for quarterly boxes. Sometimes monthly is too much. But quarterly is isn’t!
Did you order the Fall fabfitfun box? What’d you think? If you want to grab this box, you still can (and you can use the code “FALLFIVE” I believe to save $5)! I don’t believe it will ship until the beginning of November though (assuming you order now), which actually isn’t too far away?
