October Barkbox
October Barkbox

The furries October Barkbox arrived yesterday (along a whole stack of packages I wasn’t expecting) and it was one of the first boxes I opened.  It was all rainy out and the dogs were bored and deserved a little treat (or two).

The Box

Barkbox ships via DHL Global Mail and took about 4 days to arrive from the East Coast.  Not too bad at all in my opinion.

First Look

I’d seen some spoilers online and was hoping that I’d get exactly what’d I’d seen in those spoilers!  And the little peek in the right upper corner reveled that yes, I was getting that exact box.  YAY!!!

The Information Card

The October Barkbox selections are a celebration of the colors and flavors or fall.  Here is what we received:

~Pet Qwerks Chevron Bear ($7): Everyone else is valuing this at $7, so I am too. No idea where that came from because I can’t find it anywhere online, but I’m going with it. This may be the cutest dog toy on earth. In fact, I don’t even want my furries to touch it because I never want it to be destroyed. It’s too cute. Fingers crossed that WB steals this away from them (they have stolen some of WB’s stuffed animals so it’s only fair) and declares it his!  Also, at first glance I thought this was a fox.

~Your Dog’s Diner Mutt Meatball Mix ($7.99): You mix this with 1 pound of grand beef and an egg, form into meatball shapes and bake and you’ve got dinner. Baxter and Buddy are going to flip out the day I decide to cook them dinner. On the rare occasions that they get sick and get boiled chicken and rice, it’s bananas around here. They get SO excited and of course when one gets something special, the other must get it too.

~Baker’s Best Treats ($8): I can’t find these online anywhere either, so I guessed at the price.  WB and I gave these to the furries right away and I don’t know that they loved them (they are goat liver), but I also can’t find them hidden anywhere in the house so they must not have been that bad.

Baker’s Best Treats

~Fruitables Share Pack ($9.99): OMG how cute is this?  The furries are totally planning on passing these out to their friends on Halloween.  This is a pack of 8 mini treats to eat and share and I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a thing.  Totally adorable.

~Superior Farms Lamb Ear ($3.19): Let the fighting begin.  I wish Barkbox had a sibling add-on option like some of the kids craft boxes out there.  I’m waiting to give this to the boys until I’m up for a night of battle. Last night was not that night.  Maybe tonight ;).

All totaled, the September BarkBox has an estimated value of $36.17.  It was more than the monthly cost of the box (which again is $18/month if you subscribe for 6 months or more) and was, thanks to the bear and the treat pack, my most favorite Barkbox to date.  Such a fun month!!
