iBbeautiful, who sent me this box to review, offers an innovative way for tween + teens girls to explore, sample + fall in love with inspiring beauty, accessory + lifestyle products (each box contains 3-5 items) – in the comfort of their own homes – through a monthly box subscription service. iBbeautiful aims to inspire girls to be their best with their natural beauty, which is a great thing for sure.
iBbeautiful ships via USPS Priority Mail and took the standard two days. The box itself isn’t all that exciting, but I thought the pink tape was cute.
I don’t have a teenage daughter (obviously), but I remember being a tween / teenager and I would have loved to get a box like this in the mail.
iBbeautiful doesn’t include a true information card. I got a little note about the subscription, along with a “B Happy” List. They include little notes to inspire girls, help build confidence and give project ideas to help in the community. I loved the “B Happy” list and I feel like it could be applied to anyone, not just tweens. I think we all need to be reminded to take breaks and breathe every once in a while! Here is what we received in the October box:
~Natural Life Magnet (~$3 $5): I can’t get this site to load for me, so I estimated the price, but maybe you will have better luck? (ETA: Thanks to Wajeeha for the heads up on the price). This would be a great locker item as a good reminder for girls to see every day!
~Blue Q Bags Pouch ($3.99): This is made from 95% post consumer recycled materials and is a cool little coin pouch. I’d probably even use it and the positive message is a refreshing change from a lot of things out there.
~Feather / Beaded Bobby Pin (~$3): I’m not sure I would have worn this when I was younger, but it’s possible it’s the style now and I just don’t know it?
~Arbonne Calm Skin Set ($10): I had trouble with acne growing up and certainly lots of tweens / teens do too. This is a great little set to try out a new line without dropping a ton of money only to find out it’s not for you! I was this close to trying out the sooth eye gel out, but I resisted so that my cousin, who I am going to give this box to, could get the full set ;).
~3-8-1 Egyptian Amber ($2): I am not totally sure what this is since the 3-8-1 website is down, but I am guessing it’s a scent satchel? I they sell candles with jewelry (not just rings, but all sorts of jewelry in them) as well, but due to a fire at their facility, they aren’t accepting any orders right now ;(.
~Bellaboo All That Clean Skin Facial Wash ($3.46): This is a brand designed for teens and is numbered so it’s easy to remember what order to do everything in. I would use something like that for me! This smells great and I know my cousin will love it.
~Natural Life Pink Flower Earrings ($12): Totally cute, totally age appropriate. Nothing crazy or not allowed in school or anything like that! Just cute earrings.
~elf Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick ($2): I also think this is a age appropriate item. It’s not in a wild color and isn’t crazy expensive which I appreciate and I am sure tween moms do as well!
~Ottilie & Lulu Shampoo & Conditioner ($7): This set is a combination shampoo / body wash and shiny silky detangler & conditioner. I wasn’t expecting it to be so minty, but I suspect that it isn’t as minty after you dry your hair.
~LAT Peace, Love & Happiness Tank (~$10): iBbeautiful offers 2 box options: their Graphic Tee Box which gives you an inspiring tee shirt (custom made) + 3-5 beauty & lifestyle items. Or you can opt for the Basic Box which has the same great beauty & lifestyle items minus the awesome graphic tee. I received the Graphic Tee Box and this tank was this month’s selections. This would be cute with pajamas pants or something along those lines.
All totaled I came up with a value of $56.45 for the October iBbeautiful “Graphic Tee Box”. ETA: It should be noted (and I did not know this until it was pointed out by a commenter) that this box contain more than the standard 3-5 items + t-shirt that iBbeautiful normally contains. The additional items are examples of the types of items you can expect to receive in your box. Graphic Tee Boxes are $28/month, while the Basic Box is $18/month. I can’t wait to give this to my cousin this weekend (I can’t wait for Christmas thats just too far from now) and see what she thinks!
