October Love With Food
October Love With Food

I was surprised, but happy, to see my Love With Food on my mailbox yesterday!!  I hadn’t really taken the time to peek at what people were getting, so it was a nice surprise to open up.

The Box

Love With Food ships via DHL Global Mail, which starts out with DHL and is delivered by USPS.  Once again my tracking really didn’t update, the box just kind of appeared in my mailbox.

First Look

I love when boxes do holiday tie-ins, so I was excited to open up the box and see a little Halloween inside!  I was also excited to the spoiler inside which I had all but forgotten about.

The Information Card

The October Love With Food theme is “Scary Delicious”.  Love with Food suggests enjoying your treats this month as you keep an eye out for trick-or-treaters and other ghosts and goblins that may appear!  I once again opted for the regular box, which contained the following:

~Chocolate Pizzelle Crisps from Silk City Snacks:  I had been really excited for these when I first saw the spoiler, but yeah, I don’t love them.  On the bright side WB does love them, so all is not lost.  I think they’d be better with chocolate drizzled on the top.  Then again, they probably wouldn’t be 100 calories a bag if that was the case ;).

~Glee Gum, Tripe Berry from Verve Inc.: I’ve never loved gum, but L is always trying to get me to let him have some, so this will be his special treat.

~New World Caveman Cookies from Caveman Bakery: I wasn’t sure about these but I am happy to report that they are quite good.  They taste like chewy pumpkin bread.  I don’t know that I will get more, but these are good.

~Organic Hard Candies from Torie & Howard: I received a tin of these in my fall Yuzen Box and they were gone in a snap.  I already used some points with LWF to order more of these.  SO good!    My favorite is still the Blood Orange flavor.

~Pixo Pearls from Vinaigrerie Gingras: I think you can see the little pearls in this picture right?  I’m not 100% sure what we will do with these yet, but B will figure something fun out!

~Happy Squeeze from Happy Family: This has WB’s name written all over it.  He’s a pouch addict (except for “meat” ones), so this is awesome.  I’d buy a pouch of the month subscription if there was one out there so WB could try all the new brands and flavors.

~Toasted Coconut Chips from Dang: I’ve gotten these before in a few boxes and like then well enough.  I would have been much more excited had they included the new Sea Salt Caramel flavor they have!  That would have been fabulous!!!

~Kind Bar from Kind Snacks: Totally a B item!  He enjoys Kind Bars.  I don’t hate then, but I wouldn’t say that I enjoy them either.

~Lean Cuisine Meal Coupon: I haven’t had a Lean Cuisine in a while, but I am very excited  for this coupon and plan to pick one up next time I am at the store!  These meals are expensive so this is great!

Did you get Love With Food this month?  What’d you think?  It didn’t wow me like some months did, but for $12/month and the fact that they donate a food to a child in need for each box sold keeps me a subscriber!

If you are interested in signing up click here.  Subscriptions (for a regular box) are $12/month, but you can use the code “FB7OFF″ to get your first box for only $5. It looks like the waiting list is gone for the Deluxe Box (it’s $19.95/month and contains 16-2o items) so you can sign up for that now as well.   If you got the Deluxe Box this month, what’d you think?  Was there anything different?
