I keep hinting at my husband to get me this for Christmas. Here’s hoping.

  2. Pilar

Hands Down way better then last Month!!! Can’t wait to get this box.

  3. Mrs. L

I’m super busy but I thought “wonder if there are any Popsugar spoilers up”. So I made a dash to your blog and squeeeeee! Yep, the box works for me even if I won’t use the eyeliner LOL

  4. Judy

AH! I hope I get the julep in Millie and eyeliner in brown as I don’t have either and had been looking into purchasing both! Black on the other hand I don’t think any of us need! I’m also excited for the cookbook because C does all the cooking around here for a reason….he says it scares him to watch me try and dice tomatoes. I also love that the proceeds from the Gorjana bracelet goes toward Breast Cancer! Perfect for an October box! The only thing I probably didn’t need was another hairbrush thanks to this month’s Coco box, but I may throw it in my travel bag.

  5. Alicia

ahhh! This makes me want to get popsugar again so badly. This is the best box I’ve seen from them in a long time.

  6. Kindra frank

I love all of it (I think), except the freedom topcoat. The drying time is awesome, but the fact that the polish will peel off a whole nail everytime I wear it is awful! I’m super picky about jewelry, but that bracelet looks so cute!! I’m super excited for this one!!!

  7. Roxanne

I gotta say, I’m not impressed. Didn’t we get a bracelet similar to that one before? I don’t remember if it was in one of the VIP boxes or just a regular box, but I’ve never worn mine. Also, it’s far more makeup than I care for in any one box. And can we talk about those bobby pins? They look like something I might have worn when I was 12, but let’s just say those days are far behind me.

Any idea whether that stitch fix card will only be useful for new subscribers? I tried stitch fix before and was unimpressed with the service so I’m reluctant to try it again.

All in all, I would have thought that they would throw out all the stops seeing that this is the last box before the price increase (and for me, my first box following the completion of my six-month subscription). I guess I’ll make my final decision once the box shows up and I get to see everything up close and personal, but right now I’m thinking that I’ll cancel.

  8. Lauren

My box was delivered and will be waiting for me when I get home tonight! I am really excited about this months box! I especially love the Julep top coat because I have a ton of nail polishes and only 1 top coat.

  9. mary m

DArn it! I knew all the boxes would be good this month since I put them all on hold/canceled. Shoot.

  10. Kitty

So many people were looking forward to a cozy October box! We wanted candles and other such coziness.

This is my first box and I must admit I am a bit disappointed. The cookbook, for me, is useless–I am a great cook! And I can’t use the Stitch Fix card because I am a size 16 and they only go to 14. That and the cooking may be an example of cause and effect haha

I do like the bracelet, but I have 2 other subs and therefore have eyeliner coming out of my ears!

Ah well, maybe we’ll get a cozy box in November.

    1. Carrie

      Hey Kitty,
I’d love your stitch fix code if you’re not using it. I’d really appreciated it. I’m about to renew my pop sugar subscription so I can list you as a refer all.

  11. Amanda

This is going to be my first popsugar box and I couldn’t resist peeking (I resisted for about an hour then had to look). At first glance I was disappointed but I think most of it I can actually use. If they are brown or black the eyeliner will be good, I actually don’t own a topcoat (that’s not a gel polish), hopefully I get a good color but I started julep so it’s not super exciting for me to get it here too. The bracelet isn’t for me and I don’t know that I will use the stitch fix since $20 doesn’t get you anything without spending more. I am still excited to get it though, and I love cookbooks! I did upgrade to 3 more months to give it a fair try before the price increases 🙂

  12. Ashley

I think this box is awful. So very unimpressed with anything in it. Popsugar dropped the ball big time for me. I am certain that my 10 year old will enjoy all this crap though! Yuck!

  13. lynn m.

Really looking forward to this box! I love cooking and am pretty impressive at it, but have a huge cookbook library b/c i read them like chapter books. Always glad to meet a new one. I do hope the stitch fix card will work for existing members, if it doesn’t I might email and see if it can be added on to existing loyal members. The make up is just ok, might pass that on to someone else, but always like getting nail polish. The bracelet looks cute too!

  14. Deborah Jensen

Just got my box, Love all. The bracelet is on the small side, but thats ok. I like everything else.

  15. Michelle R

I came home to mine today – I think this is the fastest Ive ever gotten a Popsugar box, especially considering my last one was late and I just got it about 2 weeks ago! I’m pretty excited about this box, I was shocked at how many items were included!

  16. Inna B

Darn! This will be my first Must Have Box and I was really hoping for awesome home decor, shower stuff, and/or a bag. I give away most of the eyeliner, polishes, and eyeshadows that I receive in boxes. So far, most excited about the brush and the CrispyCake. I’ll post a photo when I get mine!

  17. wisconsin gal

I’m looking forward to everything! It looks fun, and not to mention, it has 2 nail polishes you are always showing from your Julep subscriptions!!
I am a touch bummed about the stichfix gift card, but hey – it’ll be my first trade, and will make the most of it. I’m still grateful! Little bummed they are increasing price in the boxes overall – but I’m undecided on pre-purchasing…

Thanks as always. Loved your links and details. So much fun to look for your comments and details on the products.

Meh. This is my first box, and I was going to use it to decide if I would upgrade my subscription, but this is all kinda “meh” to me. I’m a pretty good cook, so don’t need that book, and the makeup seems a little drugstore brand-y. The bracelet — hard to tell how it is. It looks cheaper than the retail value. Seems cute, but not worth $45. I think it seems like this box doesn’t really have any *WOW* factor, like someone just went into a drugstore and got a bunch of practical, useful items. I’ll probably end up using most of the items anyway, but it isn’t as fun of a box as I thought. I’m going to have to rethink upgrading my subscription!

  19. Victoria

This is my favorite box yet, like it was made just for me. I love cookbooks, nail polish, jewelry, hairbrush! Perfect. I have similar Gorjana bracelets, but it’s fun to have the bright pink especially for October. There were 6 hair pins in my box, purple nail polish, and pink brush. And I totally needed eyeshadow! Take care! So happy I received mine early this month too, didn’t receive until September 20th last time.

  20. Melissa g

I’m not a big fan of this box. The cookbook and brush are nice but everything else is kind of meh to me. I feel like the items aren’t as high quality as their past boxes so I hope this isn’t going to be the new “norm” especially with the price increase. If I wanted NYX products, I wouldn’t have cancelled my Ipsy account or I’d purchase them at my local CVS. 🙁

  21. Shannon Holler

Hmmmm……I purchased a subscription for my sister in law and October is going to be her first box. I don’t know how I feel about this box. October is such a fun month to curate a great box and this doesn’t scream Fall to me. So many wonderful things they could have chosen to include. I’m with some of the others, candles should have been included. May be a pumpkin spice soap or anything. But NYX and bobby pins??? That’s just tacky! May be if the Stitch Fix gc had better value that would be something. Or if the gc was to Golden Tote instead. May be it will be better in person. Hope so!

  22. Lynsey

I tried SO HARD not to look because I wanted it to be a surprise but I JUST HAD TOO!! It was killing me! Not sure if I love this box yet?? The brush looks cool but I don’t use a brush AT ALL, the cookbook might have some good recipes? I will have to get it to really tell my thoughts I guess. I just tracked mine it will be here tomorrow this is the fastest I have ever gotten a box!

I always get mine at the end of the month so I am super excited about that!

  23. Steph Pilbeam

Hmmmm. I have a nyx shadow pallet from the parallel worlds collection, and have been hesitant to use it( cause I have other stuff I want to use first). I also kind of am getting juleped out- but I could use these as gifts. The bracelet is super cute, but I agree goreana items are spendy. Also, I won’t be able to use stich fix. But, the overall value for what you get is amazing! I agree the cozy items were what I was thinking of for this box. I will enjoy the items I use, especially the bracelet, which I would not buy at that price on its own. The other items will be like bonus items for me..

  24. Mieko

I’ll use or regift most all of these items, so the box isn’t such a total waste … but I must say that since pop sugar is increasing the price of their boxes I was expecting something a tad more swanky than nyx cosmetics and bobby pins. I already have a Julep subscription, so fingers crossed that I don’t wind up with a dupe (the top coat is nice though). Additionally, I am curious as to whether gorjana will be donating the same 100% of the proceeds to breast cancer research for those bracelets that they would have had they been purchased at retail …

  25. Lisa Murray

Not crazy about anything in this box but I have three nieces with the holidays approaching so it works for:-) Kinda peeved about the price increase not sure how I will handle that one.

  26. Dawn

I too am not impressed with this box. It seemed as if PS was getting a bit better and then last month and this month it dropped off again. It really seems as if they are grabbing at random items without any thought. There are so many new products out there conducive to the season of Fall and this was the best they could come up with? I mean there are travel mugs, chunky scarves or gloves, single serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate. How about candles, lip therapy, food spices for warm foods, tights or leggings?? It feels like the creativity of PS is gone….

  27. VerucaSalt

This box was super disappointing! Another book? Didn’t we get one last month (which, in my opinion, had really cheapo DIY projects that I would never do!)? Don’t get me wrong, I love books, but not what I was looking for this month. The krispy treat was weirdly chewy, the brush smells weird and looks like it is sold in infomercials. The bracelet is chintzy, as is the make up, and the bobby pins just seem childish. Frankly, I’d be embarrassed to regift most of this stuff to any of my adult friends. Maybe their kids.

  28. Nich

I received my box yesterday, spoiler free yaa. The box was not as good as previous boxes. The bracelet was too small and brush looked as if it was from a drugstore, plus not suitable for my hair. More nail polish, ugg not a must have beauty item. I will try the eye make up and cookbook. PS I did use the Shoptique gift card from the Sept box on a bracelet paid $2.24 extra.

  29. ashley g

I don’t understand why people are so down on this box. I have received box in hand and I must say don’t judge until you get it. The cookbook is actually quite amazing and as someone who loves to cook and pretty decent at it I feel like you can never have too many cookbooks. The bracelet was quite cute (although I know some people had problems having it fit). I found the brush to be super nice and got through my hair nice and smooth(although I didn’t really need a new brush). I don’t need more eye shadow so I’ll gift that and Julep. Rice krispey treat was good, I like that it was extra Marshmallowy (made it different from my home made ones). Overall the value was higher than what I paid so I’m happy. Plus they aren’t going to be able to please everyone every month. I plan on resubbing before the price increase because I spent 190 on a 6 (I’m on month 5) mo sub and the items I have loved added together is well over that cost. The sub gives me a chance to try things like $62 moisturizer, $65 scarf, $65 necklace, and a $45 diffuser that I would have never bought for myself. The rest is just added bonuses or gifts I can use.

  30. Erika

I loved this box! I will use everything in it and I am so excited. The cookbook is awesome and all the rest of it is great as well! I liked this much better than last month’s box.

  31. Nich

Jen, I received Millie bogo glam nail polish and in the October issues on page 12 of News/Media in Ladies Home Journal there is an article about The Can’t Cookbook by Jessica Seinfeld.

  32. michelle

I personally thought this box was pretty good. Yes, most of the items seemed “drug store” style, but mostly everything I can use, except for the eyeliner which I have so much of and rarely use..lately tho, Ive been wearing it everyday just so I can use it up! I also have so many eyeshadow palates I dont know if I should re-gift this or keep around..I’m a tad bit intimidated by the smokey eye. I really loved the cookbook and the rice crispy treat, and I could always use bobbypins! I loved the bracelet as well. The gift card thing i wont use, if anyone wants it let me know. I liked the polish, its not like any color I have and I’m one of the few who doesn’t have a Julep sub, so that is neat for me. I’m also pissed about the price hike…this is my 3rd PS box and I pretty much liked them all. I’m sure I’ll keep getting it, but the month to month is so much less painful than the outrageous one lump sum! But I hate not saving money if I have the chance…I’m torn!

  33. Carrie G.

This was my 2nd Must Have box and I definitely liked it a little bit more than last month! I do wish the makeup had not been included as the eyeshadow sort of bites…not pigmented at all. When I swatched them it took 4-6 swipes to even get it looking like the color in the palette. Sigh.

I already put up my review and pictures. There was so much stuff in it this month that it took me forever to put the blog post together. goo.gl/Ih5u73

  34. Sheena

My October Pop Sugar box was my first one. A gift to myself for my birthday. I was impressed and i even extended my subscription to 6 months!

  35. christy mello

I tried the eyeliner and after it dried it fell off my eye. I couldn’t figure out was was in my vision and thought it was my bangs until I rubbed my eye and the entire line peeled off and fell in my lap. I’m now using it to cross off things on my to do list.

Also I’m sick of these gorjana bracelets that look like the sort of things that middle school kids make for each other.
