October Tyler Florence Fancy Box

Not only did my October Tyler Florence Fancy Box arrive IN October, it also came super early this morning (as did my mail).  It must be my lucky day.  I am supposed to be getting things done for L’s party tomorrow, instead I’m opening boxes ;).  I’ll pay for this later.

The Box

As always, my Fancy Box took two days to arrive.  Always two days. I am still expecting the October Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box, but that properly won’t come until November since I haven’t gotten a shipping notification for it yet.

First Look

I hadn’t seen any spoilers yet for this box and trust me, I looked.  So opening it was a total spoiler-free surprise.  I’ll admit, it’s super fun to be spoiler free.  But my willpower just does not allow for it to happen too often.

The Information Cards

There were so many items’s in this month’s box that I almost couldn’t get all the information cards in the picture. I am kidding of course, but it was a lot of different items this month! Here are all the details:

~Wide Grater by Art and Cook ($12): We actually don’t own a hand held grater. I looked and looked the other day. And nothing. I wasn’t making a fancy salad or anything, but I wanted something to use to grate candle wax with for the Darby Smart kit I got. Where were you last week grater??

~Doomed Crystal Skull Shot Glass ($10): Would it be totally inappropriate to give this to L with his dinner tonight? Because he’d think this was the coolest thing ever. And it’s not like B and I are running around doing shots all the time.

~Fox Run Vintage Double Timer ($20): I usually just set the timer on the stove, but on those rare occasions I do need two timers, this will be perfect. It would also serve as a time out timer I suppose.

~California Cabernet Marinade ($7): The card (well Tyler I guess) suggests using this on beef, pork or lamb and says that if you use this instead of steak sauce, you will never look back. I can’t wait to see what B decides to do with this. He’ll be home *a little* this weekend and might be able to cook with it then, but otherwise, it will have to be next weekend.

~Brown Sugar Pork Rub ($5): The suggested use for this is on pork, ribs or even sweet potato fries, which is what I want B to use it on for us.

~Tyler Florence Pewter Oven Mitt ($19): I could have sworn that we got an oven mitt in another Fancy Box, but I cannot find it in my archives.  Even if it was a repeat, I don’t mind a bit because I could use a total oven mitt overhaul.  We have the most random collection and this will be a nice replacement to one of our more “worn” ones (they are all so gross and worn really).

~Waiter’s Friend by Gentlemen’s Hardware ($20): I love this and plan to take it up-north because I don’t think we have a wine bottle opener up there (can you imagine?).  Did you hear that there is a wine shortage looming?  Better stock up now!  And make sure you have your corkscrew ready.

All totaled I came up with a value of $93 for the October Tyler Florence Fancy Box.  I thought this was a great box and love love love when the boxes have so many items in them.  That way if you don’t LOVE a few you can still be totally happy with the box because you loved so many of the other items!
