It’s been a Fancy week around here! Not only did I receive the September Coco Rocha box today, but I received the Jennifer Love Hewitt and Tyler Florence boxes earlier in the week! I’m loving it!
Not sure what happened in transit here, but my box was beat up (this was the best side)! I was even a tad worried it had been opened or something had been damaged, but all was well.
The first look didn’t have me overly excited, but I have grown to expect something “fashion” related in each box. It seems that there is always a book or magazine of some sort related to fashion in the Coco Rocha boxes. It makes total sense and also makes me feel like she is really the one curating these boxes.
This month’s information cards also included a Coco Rocha card with a little note and a link that Coco will be retweeting pictures from. She is one celebrity that is really good about replying to fans on twitter and Instagram. Here’s what this month included:
~Tangle Teezer Salon Elite ($15): I think I’m in love. My hair is a complete tangled mess lately (it’s way too long and needs to be cut in the worst way) and I literally have to comb it the minute I get out of the shower or it’s all over. And even then it can be bad. This is awesome. Just awesome. I already want another one for my travel bag.
~Archipelago Pomegranate Gift Set ($35): This gift set includes pomegranate scented hand cream, soap, and a wash cloth. The minute I saw this set, I KNEW it looked familiar, so I did a little blog search and what do you know, I got a sample sized soap in my November Birchbox! This is the perfect little hostess gift / teacher gift so I may just end up saving it for that. I do recall though that the soap smells amazing!
~Chalkboard Manicure by Ciaté ($25): OMG, I feel like I just won the lottery! It’s a chalkboard manicure set. You paint your nails with the special chalkboard polish, use the chalkboard pens on it and then seal it with a top coat. Yes, yes, yes! Look for this on Instagram (I need to work on adding that back to my sidebar here) soon!
~Stylist Magazine ($15): At first I thought this was another magazine on fashion designers or street fashion or something along those lines and thought it’d end up in the gift pile. But it’s got actual articles (and interesting ones at that), so I am good. I would never buy this for $15, but since it’s here, why not ready it! Oh wait, I *might* buy this if I were in a foreign country in dire need of reading materials. This has happened and has result in the purchase of insanely overprices US Weeklys and People Magazines.
All totaled I came up with a value of $90 for the September Coco Rocha Fancy Box. This is by far one of my most favorite Coco Fancy Boxes (or just Fancy Boxes in general) ever! All I can think about is that chalk nail polish!!!
