As usual, I am stealing Jen’s Sunday Sentiments button and idea and making it mine tonight. I’ve “known” Jen for umm, 10 years (and yet we’ve never met), and she knows I do it, so it’s not exactly stealing. But then again, it’s not a link up either ;).
~First of all, congrats to Jen (aka AdvocareRunner who I steal this link up from) who KILLED IT on her marathon today. I know she worked hard for this and it paid off! Great job Jen!!
~We got back from Chicago last night and are already plotting our next trip back – with the kids this time though. B and I had a great time and it was nice to spend some time just him and I. We’re so busy (well he’s so busy, I’m not) that we don’t hang out just us a ton and it was great. We roamed around the city on Friday, shopped, had dinner and then roamed some more. And then he went off to run the Urbanathlon Saturday morning and I slept in (that may have been the best part of the trip). And after breakfast, we shopped a little more and headed home. It was for sure a long drive just for a night, but it was so worth it. And the kids did great! I always miss them way more than they miss me, which probably a good thing. I know they had a great time with my parents and I can’t thank them enough!
~I watched the Tigers game last night and man, that was nasty. It was so hopeful and then the Grand Slam. SEASON OVER. Nasty. That was not enjoyable to watch at all! I am now a Cardinal fan ;).
~Sophia over at How about Dao, gave me a heads up that Goodies Co. is closing it’s doors. This Tech Crunch article gives some more details, but it looks like goodbye to Goodies. I was hoping that they’d change back to how they were last fall (themed boxes with bigger packages of snacks), but it’s not to be. Has anyone heard of any of closed boxes lately that I should be updating?
~We are headed to the Zoo Boo tonight and had to run to Target today to grab a quick costume for L because his vampire one is not here yet. I swear we were there for 30 minutes trying to decide on something. All my boys (including B) were trying things on, playing with the Halloween stuff, etc. I thought we’d never get out of there.
~Is anyone else on Klout? I don’t know what’s up, but I have been getting a lot of Klout Perks lately. They are determined based on our Klout score, you location or your influential topics. In the last few weeks, I’ve gotten a McDonalds gift card to try the new Mighty Wings, a Darby Smart Box (I’m going to do a review on that one) and a box of Fair Trade goodies! So cool!
~The Citrus Lane November “Add to Box” link is working. This month is a lot of Boon, CloudB, Hohner Kids and Skip Hop items, along with some left over Aden + Anais and Episencial left over from previous Add To Boxes. I’m sure they will send out an e-mail about it soon, but you want to check it out now it’s up! Once again I bought various goodies for the boys and their cousins for Christmas. The prices aren’t super amazing, but it’s certainly easy!
~I placed another thredUP order this afternoon, which included the most adorable little Velvet Crewcuts blazer for WB for next year. No idea what either of them are wearing this year, but next year is set! I saved 71% off retail and am now totally hooked on them (and Moxie Jean for that matter). I am kicking myself for not using these sooner. Do you use them? What’s the best deal you’ve gotten?
