Monday Morning Ramblings

~If you missed my Sunday Sentiments post, I’ll give you a quick recap of our weekend. We cleaned. I organized. The Kids played. B fixed / hung things up. I got a ton of mail. It was a highly productive weekend and I hope that this week is equally productive.

~I totally forgot about it when I was talking about tv shows last week, but I watch (and love) The Amazing Race. I was been watching of years. I think it would be such a fun show to go on, but I know I would actually end up complaining most of the time and B would end up doing all the work. But I do think that Lisa over at the Yuppie Traveler should go on there. I went to college with her (we bonded in our accounting classes because we were basically the only two people NOT in the accounting fraternity. LOL.) and she travels everywhere. I need to secretly send in a video of her and her husband or something.

~I received a bunch of subscription boxes (all the ones that had gotten delayed / lost / whatever appeared) over the weekend and have reviews up for the following:
~Neiman Marcus PopSugar Must Have Box
~November ipsy – “Glam it Up”
~November Birchbox – “More Good”
~November Dottiebox Mini (Plus a giveaway)
~November Fancy Pants Food
~November Citrus Lane
~November Petit Vour
~November Lip Factory
~November Bespoke Post
I have a bunch more reviews to get posted as well, including PoochPax, Love with Food, Carefree Crafts, The Happy Trunk, Furr and Feather FunPacks, MissionUnboxable and Discover with Marta.  I certainly have a lot to do this week ;).

~I’ve successful avoided putting up our Christmas decorations so far, but L is all over my case so I know that they will be going up soon.  And from the looks of Instagram, we might be the only ones who have yet to decorate.  So many trees up already!

I take amazing pictures of Christmas lights.

~If you have paid for your mixed box of Advocare Spark it went out in the mail on Saturday or is headed out today. I am shipping them in a flat rate rate Priority Mail box, so you should be receiving it soon! And if you pay later today or after, your box will go out on Wednesday / Thursday when my next Spark order arrives. I can’t wait to hear what everyone’s favorite flavors are!

~I got my Erin Condren accessories (more pens, a pen holder, etc.) order and I am LOVING the stand I got for it.  I don’t like things just sitting on my desk (like papers and stuff), so I usually end up putting my planner away and then don’t peek at it enough.  But now that I got a stand I can’t help but be reminded to look at it every day.  Perfect.  And yes, it matches my office.

Love!
Love!

~And finally, I am guessing most of you have seen this by now (it’s all over my Facebook), but A Little Moore came up with an Elf on the Shelf Calendar and it has ideas of things to do every night.  I am totally printing this and using it for ideas.  Yeah, there are ideas all over Pinterest, but this is organized and is going to make things so.much.easier.

~That’s about it from here this morning.  What’s going on for you this week?  And how was your weekend?

Spread the love

OMG- I need that planner stand!!! So simple, yet brilliant.

Who do you want to win the Amazing Race? I’m not sure. All I know is Leo and Jamal annoy me!

    1. Jennifer

      I’m not even sure???

  2. Erin

How much is the variety pack of Spark? I’ve always wanted to try it, but wasn’t sure which kind to order. This may be the way to go! 🙂

    1. Jennifer

$22.95. Same as online. You get the 14 packets and at least one of all 8 flavors.

That Elf Calendar is great. My future progeny are totally going to reap the rewards of my never having celebrated holidays as a kid. I can only imagine how exciting it would be as a kid!!

Maybe you can talk your mom into taking you to Costco. They have an Elf on the Shelf kit. It comes with a Elf and a tear off calendar of activities to do everyday before Christmas. I think it would be perfect for L. It was only like $10 or $15. Check it out!

Ohh, I have seen that! I have the elf already though.

I have a love hate relationship with Amazing Race. Ryan worked with the winners of it from a couple years ago (the ones from Wisconsin!) so it was cool to hear about it, but I hate it because every.single.week it runs over the hour and my DVR isn’t smart enough to know that, so it cuts off The Good Wife recording and I end up missing half of my favorite show and recording the end of Amazing Race instead! Definitely first world problems there lol

O.M.G. Tell me about it. That could not be any more annoying. I wish that somehow DVR’s could sense when the actual show was beginning and adjust accordingly!

Seriously, people have their Christmas tree up already? That is just so wrong! Maybe a few days before Thanksgiving, or if you can’t spend the holiday with your loved ones (those in the service being deployed) but otherwise too soon!

What you should be doing now is making sure all the lights for the tree work (or going to LED from the old version), prepping all outdoor decorations to put up (cleaning, making sure they work, have batteries etc), making sure your address list for cards is up to date, buying and getting all the cards signed, addressed etc (so you can mail them out on Black Friday), making cookies to put in the freezer, gathering stocking stuffers, having trial runs of foods you might be cooking so you don’t have to call out for pizza on Christmas Day, bribing the cat with treats so that when you put that stupid outfit on her for the holidays she doesn’t shred your arm, checking your holiday outfits to make sure they fit because it’s been three months since you bought that cute little dress on sale to wear and you haven’t exactly lost the five pounds you were planning on so that it would fit by Christmas, etc, etc, etc!! Too early for trees!!!

People in MI have been putting up (but not turning on) their outdoor holiday decorations for weeks here! You gotta do it before its’ sub-zero out ;).

And you are way too organized. From your list I have done, umm?????.. nothing.

      1. Mrs. L

Oh that might be my list of things to do, doesn’t mean I’ve done any of them either LOL

        1. Jennifer

          That makes me feel better!

Random but I thought of you when I saw this.. They sell the Panera soups at the Commisary now, and I think they are a tad bit cheaper than they are at target! I picked 4 of them up yesterday! 🙂 When do you plan on putting up your Christmas decorations? maybe if you haven’t already you could do a poll about that? I normally wait until 1 Dec, but I’ve already seen a ton of peoples decorations on IG/Facebook.

    1. Jennifer

Ohhh they do?? I haven’t went and gotten my id yet, but you are making me want to go there even more now!

I should do a poll on that! Thank you for the idea!
