OMG, my Neiman Marcus PopSugar Must Have box is FINALLY here! I have been waiting for this moment since I ordered the box. I’m not even kidding. This is probably the most anticipated box ever!
The Neiman Marcus PopSugar Must Have Box was a special one time purchase box (totally separate from their normal monthly Must Have boxes) and was $250. Their Limited Edition boxes are usually $100, but shockingly, this one sold out in less than 12 hours.
The outer box was nothing to write home about. It came, via FedEx, in a huge plain brown box. It was heavy as well, weighing in at nearly 17lbs. My FedEx lady arrived later than normal today which only added to my anticipation. I actually went out there and stood in the driveway staring down the street looking for her. It did not help.
While the outer box was nothing special, the inner box with the PopSugar / Neiman Marcus branding on it was everything I expected this box to be. It’s sturdy and will make for an awesome box for holiday wrapping. It felt like what I imagine a Hermes box would feel like.
Everything in the box was individually wrapped and it just about killed me to know I was SO close to knowing what my color variations were! Although I peeked stalked spoilers for this, there were variations in a few of the items do you don’t know exactly what you’ll get until you actually get it.
Just like with all PopSugar boxes, this one came with a great information card. It was a fold out sheet on super fancy paper and included a little note about the box. Neiman Marcus and PopSugar collaborated to curate a “unique box of our favorite must-haves gifts”. The card when on to say that whether you are planning for a night in by the fire or a festive night on the town, you’ll find something in this box that’s perfect for your holiday. Here’s what was included:
~Chevron Patterned Knit Throw (Navy) ($195): When I first heard that PopSugar and Neiman Marcus were pairing up for a box I knew I wanted it. And then when I saw the spoiler with the throw in it, I knew I NEEDED it! I got the Navy throw, which I am perfectly happy with. I’ve seen people receive navy, grey and orange/red so far and any of those options would have worked. The throw was much thicker and bigger than I expected. It’s sweater like and I need it to get freezing cold again so I can use it.
~Jonathan Adler Carnaby Zebra Stacking dish (Green) ($32): For some reason when I see the word dish I think kitchen and couldn’t figure out what I would serve on this? And then it came and I realized that’s not a serving dish at all. It’s to put on your nightstand, bathroom counter, etc. Mine is going next to my nightstand and I am hoping to trade for another one to put on B’s side so we have a matching set. I love this!!
~Slim & Sage Dinner Plates (Navy) ($99): PopSugar is much more daring than I would be because the thought of sending plates to a bunch of people makes me quite nervous! Happily mine arrived safely and I think they are beautiful. I had my eye on the red plates (the variations were navy and red), but a friend of mine got the red and wanted the navy so I think we’ll trade. What I’d really like to do is swap two plates so I’d have two red and two navy. I don’t know if she’d be into that though. Melissa???
~Le Métier de Beauté Limited Edition Kaleidoscope Eye Kit (Pretty in Punk) ($95): This exact kit isn’t available online (yet?), so I feel pretty fancy to be one of the first to get it. I have been reading up on how to use this and feel like maybe I need to head over to NM and get a lesson so I can make sure I get the full effects of it.
~Nest Fragrances Scented candle (Birchwood Pine Classic) ($34): I love the Nest line and this scent, while strong is perfect for the holidays. I do love me some B&BW candles, but they don’t burn as cleanly as like the Nest ones do. And if I have too many burning (yeah, I sometimes light more than one at a time), I get a headache. Never happens with these.
~shy by sydney evan love necklace ($125): This is the only item in the box I am kind of meh on. Don’t get me wrong, it’s gorgeous, but it’s not really my style. I am probably going to try and trade it for another Nest candle for my mom and maybe a zebra plate or something like that.
~Neiman Marcus Twist White Fudge Covered Corn Snacks ($19): While I am trying to eat better (I am always trying this), if you send me snacks like this, they will get eaten. Everyone (well all my boys and I) tried them and agreed they are amazing. They are like white fudge covered bugles. I would never have bought these on my own, but now that I have tried them I feel like they would make a great hostess gift.
~Oribe Dry Texturing Spray ($39): I sprayed this in my hair right away and I like it so far. My hair is straight and flat, so any boost, texture, anything I can do is welcome.
All totaled I came up with a value of about $638 for the box which is far beyond the $250 cost of this box. While this box was a big gamble I am so so so glad I went for it. And if they ever happen to do this again, I’m all in.
