The furries have been getting totally spoiled lately and yesterday was no exception because their November BarkBox arrived! They get SO excited when the mail person comes to the door (which is like everyday), but if they actually get to go outside and talk to them they act like they could care less.
Barkbox ships via DHL Global Mail and took just under a week to arrive. It certainly could have been worse that’s for sure.
I hadn’t seen any BarkBox pictures yet, so I didn’t know what we’d be getting this month. You can’t tell from this picture, but my box was all ripped on the bottom. Everything was totally fine, but my poor mail has been taking quite a beating this month.
The November BarkBox is all about dogs and the dinner table. BarkBox included pooch-friendly variations of everyone’s favorite comfort foods and toys to keep your furries occupied while you enjoy your meal. Here’s what the box included:
~Pet Lifestyle and You (P.L.A.Y) Stuffed Zucchini ($9.50): Fine. I’ll admit it, I thought this was a banana at first. LOL. Not quite. It’s stuffing is made from post-consumer recycled boxes and is made with the same standards as infant and child products. Totally adorable. These dogs seriously have the chest toys.
~N-Bone Pearly White Chew Bone ($3.99): Baxter and Buddy totally need this and I need to figure out a way to get them to chew on these so they can get the full effect. Any ideas? The vet always recommends a professional teeth cleaning, but if these work that would be much much less expensive.
~Bocce’s Bakery Truffle Mac & Cheese Treats ($5.94): Baxter & Buddy typically don’t like hard treats, but they made an exception for these. They loved them and wolfed them down in seconds. Then stared at me like, umm, give us more of those. They are made from organic barley flour, cheese, turkey bacon and truffled. And that’s it!
~Happy Howie’s All Natural Turkey Treats ($2.99): I broke one of these up and put it in the furries food bowl and they couldn’t eat that food fast enough. Not only did they eat these treats, they ate the rest of the food in the bowl too. Something about different foods even touching their normal food makes it much more tasty.
~Etta Says Crunchy Deer Chew ($3): The dogs were getting along so nicely last night so I didn’t want to start World War 3 and pass out this special treat. Even if I’d have had two of them, this is the kind of thing I suspect they still would have fought over. Kids.
All totaled, the November BarkBox has an estimated value of $25.42. It was more than the monthly cost of the box (which again is $18/month if you subscribe for 6 months or more) and is always something that we look forward to. I’m not sure that the boys look forward to my monthly pictures of them and their box, but they tolerate it because they know they’ll be rewarded with all the goodies from the box!
