Edited to Add: Fancy Pants Food is no longer in business.
Fancy Pants Food, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a members-only service providing curated samples of smaller batch foods. Each month you will receive 5-8 trial sized products delivered to your door of amazing foods you’ve probably never heard about.
Fancy Pants Food ships via USPS First Class Mail and was one of the many packages I received today. I was letting B pick the boxes for me to open and this was one of the first he selected. If it says “food” on it, he wants to know what’s in it.
This was only the second month of Fancy Pants Food, so it’s still a super new box. So far they seem to be on top of their game and I haven’t heard of any problems with missing items, late boxes, etc.
The November Fancy Pants Food box included the following items to enjoy with friends this fall:
~Lord Nut Levington Peanuts: We have tried the Rebel Mary peanuts on various occasions (most recently – yesterday) and always like them, but B and I were super excited to see the El Cheddaraies! We’ve never tried them before. We both thought they were spicy, but good. They totally had a kick to them!
~Snapz Crunch Zucchini: These tasted exactly what I would have expected them to taste like. Soft zucchini. I didn’t love them and either did B.
~Kelapo Coconut Oil: I have gotten this in various boxes but I don’t know that we have ever used it for cooking (i.e. it’s intended purpose). I always end up using it on my hair. Works great!
~Oats Granola: B and I cleaned out the pantry this morning (his lame idea, not mine), and we realized that we need to step up our granola eating. I am guessing we’ll be eating granola and using it in all the recipes we can in the next few weeks.
~Hint Mint Mints: Probably one of the coolest packages of mints I have ever seen. I tried one (they are good) and threw these in my bag after snapping these pictures. Hint also has Limited Edition Artist series cases which are so cool. I love this kind of stuff!
~JJ’s Sweets Cocomels: Cocomels (Coconut Milk Caramels) appear in boxes every now and then I love them. I don’t know why I haven’t actually went out and bought more yet. I just wait for them to appear. And they do. B loves them too.
Once again, I didn’t do a cost breakdown for this box. There were 6 different items in this month’s box, which breaks down to about $1.67/item. Fancy Food Pants is $10/month and is a great way to sample a variety of items without having to purchase the full size item. If you love something you’ll be able to buy more and if you hate something at least you don’t have to throw away a full box of it!
What do you think of Fancy Pants Food? Did you get a box this month? I know a lot of people took advantage of the (now expired) free box offer they did last month! What was your favorite item? If you are interested in learning more and / or want to give it a go, click here.
