My November ipsy was also one of the many packages that appeared at my door yesterday. If you aren’t familiar, ipsy sends subscribers a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products for only $10/month. I don’t always love everything in my ipsy, but for $10/month, I do think it’s well worth it.
I love the pink ipsy bubble mailers! A few subscription box companies send these and I always make sure to save and reuse them. If you have ever received a prize or a trade from me, you know I reuse boxes. I just cannot bring myself to pay for a box when I have a ton sitting around here.
The November ipsy theme was “Glam It Up” and was filled with some go-to products to help you get glam for all those upcoming holiday events and parties. ipsy sends out bag variations, via “ipsymatch”, which based on the preferences you enter when you take the ipsy quiz. There were 14 different products this month and, I believe, each subscriber received 6 of those items. I have no idea how many different variations of the bag that would make, but this is what I received:
~The Make-Up Bag: I actually really like the bag this month and actually plan to use this one in my bag. It’s kind of “delicate”, but I hope that it holds up better than I think it will.
~em michelle phan lip gallery creamy color lipstick (cabana beige) ($16.50): Michelle Phan is the founder of ipsy and this is the first time I have ever received one of her products in my bag. I have a box full of lipsticks for my SIL and this is going in it as well. I just can’t pull off lipstick like she can.
~Be A Bombshell Lip Crayon (Shameless) ($14): My picture isn’t that great, but this is actually a shimmery burgundy color and it’s perfect. I don’t love lipstick, but I do love lip crayons. I think because it reminds me of coloring? Not sure.
~Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer (Caviar Cocktail) ($13): I already have a few silver (this is actually described as a “gunmetal grey spiked with shimmer”) polishes, but I will never turn down a more polishes!
~Pixi Beauty Bronzer (Subtly Suntouched) (~$15): I love getting bronzers in subscription boxes (probably because it doesn’t happen a ton), so I was excited when I saw this in my ipsy Glam Room. It’s a great color and it went in very nicely.
~Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil (Amethyst) ($14): Aww, eyeliner. Eyeliner and tea are probably the things I least like from subscription boxes. Luckily, my cousin (and B) love tea and I have lots of teenage cousins and friend’s daughters who happily take the eyeliner off my hands. And thats where this is going!
~HSI Argan Oil Leave-In Hair Treatment ($2.50): This is another great match for me. I love trying different brands of argan oils and hair oils in general. It doesn’t smell like much, but it made my hair shiny.
All totaled, my November ipsy bag had a value of $61, which is complete insanity since it’s only $10/month. Like I said, ipsy isn’t my favorite subscription ever, but if I end up loving half of the items and trade or give away the other half, that is fine with me. I still get my money’s worth and everything gets used!

I got the same bag as you. My lipstick was in a shade called “Miss Moneybags”. It is such a pretty color. I don’t usually wear lipstick, but I am in love with this color.
I should probably just try wearing it for a few weeks and seeing if I get used to it.
My bag was so different from yours but I was very happy with it. I got the em mascara, the champagne polish and the bh eyeshadow different from you. I like eyeliner though especially in a funky color since I don’t wear it everyday but it is one of my gotos when I want to up my look and these lighter colors are great on my eyelids to make my eyes pop. So fun to play.
That’s a good bag! I wouldn’t have minded the shadow or the mascara!
Same bag, same colors except instead of the oil I received the false eye lashes and my EM product was a grey eyeliner, ugh since I received TWO eyeliners. I am not an eyeliner gal.
Two eyeliners and false lashes would not have made me too happy!

This was my first ever ipsy bag. I waited forever to get off the wait list. I was excited to open it like I am with all other subscriptions I receive. I was thinking of canceling Birchbox, but did not want to give up a beauty box altogether so I figure I would wait to see how this went to compare. Not sure yet.
I received a ~em michelle phan lip gloss in nude, which I like. TRESemm? trial/travel size hair spray, which is useful, but would have loved to have received the oil. The rest of my items were the same except my nail color was different and the lip crayon was RED, like really red! Called Hot Damn and that is really not my color. I love the value of the subscription though.

I also got the Hot Damn and was a little worried. It goes on lighter than I thought it would. I think it is one that you can “build up” to the color you want. I am pleasantly surprised and pleased with it!
Your bag was much better than mine. I got 2 eyeliners: one silver and the other teal (not a fan of either), a bright red lipstick, bright blue eyeshadow, dark bronzer and silver polish. The only thing I liked was the polish. My profile was set as someone natural/professional, with fair skin. So, redoing my quiz probably won’t even help. I guess next month can’t be worse … right?
Two eyeliners! I wouldn’t be happy about that! Some people say that the quiz works perfect for them, but some say they don’t read it. I don’t know how they do it. I have gotten bags that were for sure not my profile.
I’m the same way with lipstick. I don’t wear it but I LOVE a lip crayon!
I know. For some reason in my mind, it’s just totally different.
I loved my Ipsy bag this month (my first). I got the Bombshell lip crayon, Pixi bronzer, Em Michelle Phan eyeliner in Amethyst, Starlooks eye pencil in topaz, baked eyeshadow (purple silver color) and Nailtini in a bronze color.
It was a good month!

Not really! It’s so hard because it changes monthly depending on what’s in the box! PopSugar, Birchbox, GLOSSYBOX, Citrus Lane, Kiwi Crate, Mantry and Bespoke Post would be on the list though!

I am now waiting on Birchbox, Bluum, Citrus Lane, Boink(just funny saying it, lol) and JewelMint(which made me think of you because I got their Mystery Box)! So super excited!
Oh I am sure Julep will have another mystery box soon! They have been having them a lot lately!
So, this was my first month for ipsy, and I was blown away. I have seen plenty of reviews where they were not as great, but it couldn’t have been a better month! I received the EM mascara (so good, i wanted to hate it), BH cosmetics eye shadow in sun, starlooks eyeliner in amethyst (I am an eyeliner lover, and I am 24, thank you very much haha), the Pixi bronzer, Nailtini in champagne and it is the most beautiful rose gold, and the exact lip crayon you did. I. Am. In. Love. 🙂
LOL. I don’t think I’m too old to wear eyeliner and that’s why I give it to teenagers or anything! They just get all my extra makeup goodies!
I absolutely loved my bag this month! That eyeliner was fun….ended up wearing everything that came in mine for date night Saturday! I am with you on the lip crayon over stick…the coloring theory makes since for me also! 🙂

This was my favorite ipsy bag so far! I got the Pixi bronze that I really wanted, em Michelle phan mascara, nailtini polish same as yours, be a bookshelf lip crayons and a really cool baked eyeshadow that is brown and navy blue mixed together. It looks like a planet! Lol At first I Didnt care for my lip crayons color, it seemed super bright red, but I’m glad I tried it anyway because it actually looks amazing on and Isnt bright at all!
How is the mascara??
I actually never tried it because I’ve gotten soooo many mascaras lately between ipsy and wantable, so I’m gifting it for Christmas to my sister along with some other makeup goodies. I thought about gifting the eyeliner too because I have black eyeliner permanently tattooed on, but the glittery silver looks pretty cool added on top for a night out, so Im keeping it 🙂

Oh yeah duh, and a starlooks eyeliner in topaz (glitter silver color).
I was happy overall, I mean I would have rather not had false eyelashes( so cheap to get right around Halloween, ya know); but, it came with a tweezer like applicator, so that’s an oh well kind of item. But I love eyeliner!! So, I was pleased to get the on trend green color from em( rather would have had the nude as I keep missing out on that chella pencil, again, oh well) and a sparkly light amethyst from star looks.{that I will give away because I couldn’t resist a sale from haute look with urban decay and don’t need more purple , so I think my sister would look pretty with it} I got several nice things, though and I liked the bag. I also thought some of the coupons were pretty good. I really like that full sized products are not a rarity for this company. Sorry so long winded, but I agree for$10 if I keep half, it is good. Plus I love giving little treats to just the right person when they need a pick me up.

I had a similar bag to the ones described above….amethyst eye pencil, bronzer, rose gold nail polish, baked eye shadow in “sun”, lip pencil, and mascara. This was my first ipsy bag and I was very impressed and pleased!
I hope they do another great one for the holidays next month!
Loving my ipsy bag this month! Usually not that excited about their bags but for ten bucks they aren’t bad. I certainly don’t need another nail polish but I love the one I got! Ipsy did a great job!!
I feel the same. I don’t always love it, but it’s certainly worth the $10.

I was really happy with my ipsy this month. I got the Em mascara in black, the BH eyeshadow( im in love with it), the lip crayon in the red color, the eyeliner in topaz, the pixi bronzer and the nail polish in silver gray.
I loved my Ipsy bag…I love the oil, the eyeliner but my favorite is that lip crayon…it’s a great shade and it STAYS ON! Wonder where you could actually buy the brand?
I’m not sure other than on their site??
